Get your teeny tiny violins away, this isn't that kind of post.
I moved around a lot as a kid, in a time before technology made it easy to hold onto anyone. Friendships kept slipping through my fingers before they'd even properly started, and for a long time I assumed that was just how it worked for me.
Then I grew up, and somehow ended up with the most incredible women in my corner. This weekend was garden parties, neon face paint, dancing, laughing until it hurt, and a genuinely heroic amount of pizza. The kind of friendship that shows up, holds you steady, and cheers loudest when you need it.
Turns out all those misfired childhood friendships were just clearing the way for the right ones.
