How cute does my new bag look with my clematis? I started this on my stand at to show off my new raffia yarn from Kremke, Papyrus. It's made of paper, fabulous for homewares and accessories. I used the Cherryade pattern from . I could have done it in one reel, but decided to add a contrast for the trim and handles. The only change I made was to add 10 chains to the handles to make them a bit longer. At less than 100g this would be a fab bag to take on holiday, it squishes easily and is so light!

There's a few colours of Papyrus available, plus two more on their way as we speak!

What would you make with raffia? Have you used it before?

Sitting in the sunshine, wearing recycled denim and knitting with it too! Phone propped up on my teacup, just soaking it in.

I knit this top last year but I don't think it ever made it to the grid. This is the Matilda top by knit in Reborn Denim Uni, all made with recycled denim and PET bottles. I used 3 balls of the pink and 1.5 of the cream. It's so soft and lovely to work with. The blue ist he same yarn, for a new summer accessory design, hopefully it comes together soon!

Hello new things!

I've wanted to make stickers for ages, but felt too insecure about my rusty art skills and procrastinated for years. For Stitch Festival I finally got over it and drew up my first two designs! Introducing Yarn Chicken and Frogging, both drawn by me and printed on durable vinyl for all your sticking needs!

I do plan to keep going, any ideas for more? I definitely need some sheep involved somewhere...

Both stickers are online now 👍🏻

Is this how all the cool girls are wearing their scarves?

Triangle scarves have been a staple of the knitting trends for donkeys years, (anyone else remember how popular Ishbel was 15 years ago?!) but it seems to have hit the mainstream this year. We all know the knitters are ahead of the curve! I've done my own little take on the simple triangle shape. The pattern will have three sizes and 4 edging options, in a fi*****ng weight yarn. The pattern is with the tech editor now, hoping to release before in 3 weeks!

It's the perfect little thing for this first day of warm weather of the year. This one is knit in Shilasdair 4ply from the deep deep stash, just 50g of the red and about 20g for the white for the small size.

Any ideas for a pattern name will be appreciated!

Are we all jumping on the hoods/balaclava trends this year?!

I saw this pattern by when she posted an in progress photo last year, and waited (not so) patiently until the pattern was finally released in the autumn. Instant add to cart! I used a skein of wool/silk blend. I'm not sure if my gauge was off, but I did run out of yarn, so dug around in the scrap stash and found these contrast bits of Malabrigo wool/silk for the ribbing. I've been loving it! I'm even wearing a ponytail in these photos, usually with hats I have to take my ponies out, where as this works with my hair up or down.

Bonus, it matches my new coat Boden I got off Vinted this week! I didn't even plan it!

No I might have to knit ones for the kids, Miss Lemon keeps threatening to steal mine!

Oh knitter pals, it’s heckin’ cold out there!

Enter the Mitten Liner, pattern available on Ravelry, an oldie but a goodie from my back catalogue!

Granted in the UK it’s only rather cold, but I know that in lots of other places it’s properly very very cold as well. Give us a break, it’s actually in minus temps during the day, which hardly ever happens!

In times like these you may be looking at your handknit wardrobe wondering if there’s another layer you can wear to stay just a little bit warmer. Might I suggest a pair of mitten liners? They’l take your regular mittens and upgrade them to insulated. Take it from a Canadian, these work! Plus as a bonus they work on their own as a light mitten in warmer weather. They take less than 50g of laceweight yarn, so they also work to use up some truly precious bits of stash that you’ve been dragon hoarding! These were knit in wool/silk lace, but I’ve got my eye on Gleem for something that’s a bit more readily available in the UK.

Do you guys want kits? I could have something together with some contrast stripes for the cuffs fairly quickly. 🤔
