I love this quote. The psalms capture and show many things. Amongst them is this beautiful, honest, raw example of how we can interact with the Lord. In praise and lament and everywhere in between. It shows us how the Lord interacts with us. He invites us to come to him.

Day 6 of “Something new”.

I love these verses and I keep coming up with new products inspired by them😍

Day 5 of “A joyful moment from today”.

Slippers and reading 😄

Yes that’s a kindle. While I do love a paperback I find it much easier to carry my library with me in this format (especially when I’m out or away).

It also has the advantage of being gentler on my joints than a book (I can prop it up on a beanie bag/pillow) which is especially appreciated when my fingers are particularly sore.

Day 4 of “favourite products”.

I’m often indecisive so the best I can narrow this down to is a product collection 😉.

My favourite is the “Hope-filled Hymnal” - using my hymn inspired art on susatinably made pretty and practical cards, notebooks, tea towels and stickers that build us up in Jesus and help us to build others up.

I LOVE hymns and their beautiful timeless Christian truths about Jesus that encourage and bring joy, hope and comfort as we savour the Saviour.

I'm so looking forward to selling at the Christian Christmas Fair Online Market on the 9th November (next Saturday) yay!

There are loads of lovely sellers with lots of goodies to help us get some of the Christmas gifts sorted :-)

Today is the start of "The 9 Days of Joy: Joyful prompts to get us ready for the Christian Christmas Fair" and it's intro day, so here's a bit about me.

I’m Roché Brook from By the Brook Creations (see what I did there?) where I create sustainably made paper goods and gifts to hearten us with Christ-centred joy, comfort & hope in every season for you to keep or give.

I’m an alliteration adoring, coffee consuming artist working from my cosy home studio in Chessington.

I’m also a spoonie (i.e. someone with chronic conditions) and particularly passionate about helping us know God’s sustaining comfort and care in the harder things of life.

I'll leave you with a random fact - when it comes to superheroes I'm firmly in the team Marvel camp ;-)

We finished going through the gospel of John (my favourite!) at church this past week and I’ve loved thinking about this verse:

“Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” John‬ ‭21‬:‭25‬

It doesn’t just mean signs, though it does include that. What it speaks to more for me is Jesus’s beautiful character. His love for people, especially his people. A love that expresses itself in service and sacrifice and salvation and victory.

A love that endures and carries us in this now and not yet space in time. That carries us in every moment, hour, day, week, month etc. Including this new month of June😄
