It was only one sentence.

Five minutes. A quick change to the manuscript, then get on with the rest of the day.

Several hours later, Chapter 7 has been rewritten, Chapter 9 has undergone emergency surgery, Chapter 14 has been brought in for questioning, lunch has disappeared and the coffee is stone cold.

All because of seven troublesome words.
