Popped to Ebb & Flo Bookshop today to drop off some fairy and gnome houses ahead of next month’s workshops!

Such a lovely bookshop, and I can’t wait to be back sharing my love of book art with you all!

We’ve got a family session in the morning, where we’ll be making magical fairy houses, followed by an adult session in the afternoon, where we’ll be creating our very own little gnome houses for the bookshelf!

It’s going to be a lovely day of bookish creativity!

2 FREE children’s author events at Chorley Theatre coming up this month!!! 🥳📚🌞

As part of our Penguin Children’s Grant award for the National Year of Reading we’re holding these 2 amazing events at Chorley Theatre.

Fantastic Illustrator Francis Martin and Illustrator/Author Jen Carney will be on stage having fun and sharing the love of books!

There’ll be a free book for every family too and you can have your book signed at the book signing afterwards. 📚✍️😎

We still have some seats available - just message us or email with your name, email, phone number and tell us which event you’d like to go to (you can choose both if you like) and how many children/adults you need a seat for.

This morning I’m breakfasting in Paris even if it’s only in my head and the book I’m reading!
Our bookseller Izzy has championed All That Remains by Virginie Grimaldi forever so I’m powering through it to catch up.

It was a tough one but Go Gentle by Maria Semple has won the vote as my next holiday read - I’m only on page 30 and Adora Hazzard is my new best friend.
If like me you loved Where’D You Go Bernadette, you need to read this book immediately. In fact, order it from an indie bookshop and make two wise decisions today! 😎📚❤️

Unsurprisingly one of us has almost definitely brought too many holiday reads on this holiday.
I’ve devoured Wreck by Catherine Newman (if you loved Sandwich, read this now.) Just excellent about family - all the emotions 🥹
