Meet one of our lovely members, Sonia, who has recently rediscovered sewing and made our lovely Tissue Cover Project ✨

Sonia told us:

Back at the sewing machine 💜

After not sewing for a little while, Vicky decided her first project back just HAD to be a Bucket Hat… and how fantastic does the finished project look 🥰

Vicky told us:

We absolutely HAD to share this one because… this was Nikki’s very first sewing project! 😍👏

Just a few days before making this gorgeous cushion, Nikki had never even touched a sewing machine, and just look what she has made! A beautiful Bias Piped Cushion, complete with a ZIP! 🧵✨

Nikki followed Lynne’s Bias Piped Cushion tutorial inside Stitchi Club and told us:

💬 “Super proud of this!! I’ve never even touched a sewing machine until a few days ago and this was my first project! I’ve made a beautiful cushion with a zip!! It’s turned out fantastic! I followed Lynne’s Bias Piped Cushion tutorial and found it so easy to follow!”

And we think you have EVERY reason to be super proud, Nikki! 💜

What we love even more is that Nikki has started learning to sew with a very special goal in mind – her daughter is a dancer and she would eventually love to be able to make her dance costumes herself, rather than having to buy them.

From never touching a sewing machine to completing a piped, zipped cushion as your first ever project… we think you’re off to a pretty amazing start! 🥰

Rachel has just finished making our Square Fabric Doorstop following Chloe’s tutorial in Stitchi Club, and we love her idea for filling it too!

💬 “Just finished my square fabric doorstop.... really pleased with it. And as a bonus, rather than using stuffing I filled it with fabric scraps and rice.”

Such a great way to make use of all those little fabric scraps we inevitably end up keeping! ✂️🧵

It’s always lovely seeing the different fabrics you choose and the little touches you add to our projects.
