Insulated bags for freeze dried meals when camping £13 including postage.
I made these for us to use for our freeze dried/dehydrated meals when wild camping. Yes, we can put them in our sleeping bags whilst they hydrate, yes, I can just use them to warm my hands up during that time but .. we like hot food and I've found these keep the meals toasty warm whilst we eat them and make them nicer to hold as the packets do lose heat. Also great for your electronic items overnight and I also made one for someone's drone.
I make them tall enough for most dried meal packets and the top has velcro fastening. It then stands up whilst you're waiting, roll the sides down a bit so it acts as a cosy for your hands whilst eating and they are washable.
Warm food helps keep you warmer overnight, I heard Doug Scott say that many many years ago.... These are pictures of our own bags in use and some of the ones I've made to order.... . They weigh about 50grams....
I can make these to order in either royal blue, red, black, orange, pink, dark green, purple or unique patchwork waterproof ripstop fabric. Inner can be black or funky bright striped fleece all with velcro fastening. Turn around time approximately a week. Postage included in the price. I also make fleece lined bags that fit your gas canister in overnight (blue round tall bag) and then you can use it for a porridge pot in the morning. I always take my kindle so my kindle case is similar and also has a waterproof fabric outer...
