Furniture Sellers: Meet Furnish Well Seller Intelligence 📊

If you run a furniture business, deal in vintage or antique furniture, restore pieces, make furniture or regularly hold stock, this is something I’ve been building for you.

Furnish Well Seller Intelligence is a new free tool designed to help furniture businesses better understand their stock and how their business is performing.

You can track current and previously sold furniture, purchase costs, additional costs, time spent on pieces, sale prices, profit, stock ageing and more.

It also connects with our new Buyer Wanted Requests, giving participating businesses visibility of the types of furniture buyers are actively searching for on Furnish Well.

Seller Intelligence is currently in beta, and over the next few weeks I’ll be inviting a small number of furniture sellers, dealers, restorers and makers to test it, use it with real stock and help shape what we build next.

If you run a furniture business and would like to get involved, have a look here:

Or get in touch with me and we can have a chat about it.

Can’t find exactly what you’re looking for on Furnish Well?
You can now submit a Wanted Furniture Request and let our business sellers know what you’re searching for. Someone may already have the perfect piece sitting in stock waiting to be listed.
And this is only one part of something much bigger we’ve been building for furniture sellers behind the scenes… 👀
Tomorrow I’ll show you what’s coming.

Title: What If Furniture Sellers Could See What Buyers Actually Want?

Selling furniture shouldn’t just be about listing something and hoping the right buyer finds it.

I’m building new tools into Furnish Well that will help sellers understand things like buyer demand, where different types of furniture are selling, and what buyers are actively looking for.

We’re also working on buyer wanted lists, giving sellers another signal about what stock people actually want.

There’s plenty more being built behind the scenes too. 👀

Furnish Well is slowly becoming much more than somewhere to simply list furniture.

I’ve got a massive appreciation for furniture makers, sellers, restorers and upcyclers.

A huge amount of time, skill and effort goes into these pieces — and actually selling them can be bloody difficult.

I’m not going to pretend Furnish Well can magically sell everything you list. We’re still building our buyer audience.

But we are working on something new for business sellers that I genuinely think could be really useful — something designed to help you understand your stock better and point you in the right direction.

It’s coming to Furnish Well very soon 👀

And if you sell furniture for a living, I’d genuinely love to know: what would make your life easier? Drop your ideas in the comments.

11/08/2026

Would you buy it? 👀

Today’s piece is this Natuzzi shelving unit, currently listed on Furnish Well for £500.

The seller states that it originally retailed for around £4,500, so it’s a pretty serious difference in price for a piece of quality furniture.

Italian made, with a walnut frame and smoked glass shelving, and it can also work as a room divider.

This is exactly the kind of thing I want to start showing more of — interesting, well-made furniture that deserves another home.

So what do you think?

£500 — would you buy it?

I’ve had someone ask why certain flat-pack or mass-produced furniture can’t be listed on Furnish Well.

And I completely understand the frustration. Someone has taken the time to photograph their furniture, write a description and submit a listing, so rejecting it is never something I enjoy doing.

But Furnish Well has to stand for something.

The whole marketplace is built around furniture that’s made to last — quality second-hand, vintage, antique, restored and handmade pieces that deserve to stay in use for as long as possible.

That does mean I sometimes have to say no to furniture that doesn’t fit that ethos, even when I know someone has put time into listing it.

I’d rather build a smaller marketplace with a clear purpose than fill it with absolutely everything.

That’s what I want Furnish Well to be.

One million listings… not quite yet. 😂

Building Furnish Well has taught me very quickly that creating the website is only the beginning.

Getting people to discover it, trust it and actually use it is the real challenge — and that’s exactly what makes this journey so interesting.

I genuinely believe there’ll come a day when I can make that opening statement for real.

Until then, I’ll keep building, learning, making mistakes, changing direction when I need to and documenting the whole journey along the way.

Hopefully one day we can come back to this video and say…

“Bloody hell. He actually did it.” 😂

It’s time for me to step away from the screen and start meeting the people Furnish Well was built to help.

Furniture sellers, makers, restorers, dealers and anyone working with quality furniture — I want to hear your story, understand the challenges you face and see how Furnish Well could genuinely support you.

So, if you run a furniture business, have a workshop or shop I could visit, or simply fancy a chat about what you do, please get in touch.

It’s time to get out there, meet people face to face and start building something meaningful together.

I just wanted to clear something up — I’m not a furniture expert.

Furnish Well started because, yes, I love furniture, but more importantly, I hate the throwaway mentality we seem to have developed. I wanted to build something that could genuinely make a difference, even if it’s only in its own small way.

I’m also incredibly passionate about helping people.

That means helping sellers find the right buyers for their furniture and helping buyers discover amazing pieces from sellers who take the time to explain who they are, what they sell and why they do it.

So no, I’m not here pretending to be a furniture expert. What I am passionate about is bringing people together, helping good furniture find a new home and building something that genuinely helps both buyers and sellers.

Furnish Well is my way of doing that.

If you have any questions, requests or suggestions, or you simply want to drop me a message, please feel free. I’ll continue posting every day and documenting this journey as I try to turn Furnish Well into something that truly makes a difference.

Thanks for watching!

Business profiles are now available on Furnish Well!

If you’re a furniture maker, restorer, dealer, shop or other furniture business, you can now create a proper public profile to showcase who you are, what you do and the furniture you sell.

In this video, I walk through the profile form, explain the information you can add and show how the finished profile appears to visitors.

It’s another step towards helping great furniture businesses get discovered and giving buyers more confidence in who they’re buying from.
