Gifts 4 Gambia

Gifts 4 Gambia Helping young young people and families in The Gambia. We are collecting goods to help families in The Gambia on the west coast of Africa.

What we are looking for currently is any clothes (Adults/Childrens), shoes, toys, stationery, old electricals and anything else you feel could benefit an African family. Everything that is given will be sent in a container ship to The Gambia and distributed out to local village children/families and those in need and there will be photographs and posts updated on this site to show were all your ki

Would like to say a huge thanks to Medlar with Wesham CE primary school for the supplies they provided. These have been sent to a school in The Gambia - st Joseph’s who as you can see from the photos can use any support they can get. It will be of great help to the teachers and pupils with their education. So again a huge thanks from Gifts4Gambia and also St Joseph’s school.

Update: We have been sorting through all the donations we received whilst I was in The Gambia so want to say a huge thank you they are fantastic. We are also now sending 14 children to school and as you can see from the photos below they are very much in need of clothes and shoes so if anyone has any of these from the ages of 3-12 years old boys and girls it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your continuous support.

Would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. 2017 has been a great year for Gifts4Gambia and with all the donations we have helped some many people and families. Hopefully 2018 will bringing bigger and better things. We have some new projects in the pipeline and hopefully with your continuous support we will achieve these. Just wanted to also ask if you are having a clear out (or know someone who is) after Christmas of your unwanted belonging to please consider giving these to our charity as it makes such a difference in The Gambia. Would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. 2017 has been a great year for Gifts4gambia and we hope that 2018 is going to be even better. We have have some new projects in the pipeline and hopefully with your help and support we can achieve these. Thank you again for all your donations you have helped make such a difference. Had a wonderful few days we visited a hospital in the capital Banjul and went to the premature baby unit. I gave out a few donated clothes but when I spoke to the doctors they said what they need more than anything is tiny knitted hats as the babies lose the heat through their heads and 56% of the babies do not make it and also small knitted blankets. I would like to ask if anyone would be able to make any of these and I will send them out to the hospital and they can help increase the percentage of survival. What an amazing post to see on Facebook today. More and more people are supporting Gifts4gambia and we can not thank you enough. These 8 shoe boxes will be on the next container and will make the children who receive them so happy. Thank you again for all your donations and the kind support you all give. I have 55 boxes waiting to be given out so there will be plenty of photos to follow. These will be distributed in several villages and schools and the difference they make is unbelievable. Huge thanks again x

First week in The Gambia and I have visited two schools and given out a few donations. Just starting to sort through all the kind donations given and there will be lots of photos to follow. We have had lots of donations to be sent to The Gambia and I want to thank you all for supporting us continuously. I shared with friends a campaign to help another charity that does work in gambia and supports us a lot. They work with schools in The Gambia and provide education furniture and resources. The response that We received was amazing. The container is due to arrive at the end of the month and your donations will make such a difference to the children's education. A good friend helped with this campaign and contacted everyone in her workplace (approx 600 employees) to support us and everyday more and more donations came in and she has been recognised and nominated for an award by the company for her charitable work. So we would like to wish her the best of luck for winning this award. Thanks again to everyone for making such a huge difference to the people that really need and appreciate it.

Donations are started to be given it. An amazing story is we got donated a wheelchair and this was sent out on the last container and it has been given to a man who is unable to walk. He was so happy to be given such a life changing gift and has been sending his blessing. I would like to thank everyone who is kind enough to donated to Gifts4gambia as we help as many people as we can and it makes such a huge difference. Will keep you posted with more photos soon!

One of the items donated was a bike. The mans name is Galo and he is always having to try and loan a bike from someone in the village to get about so we thought that it was about time he had his own means of transport! 🚲🚲🚲
