Hi everyone! We have had some new faces joining our Tuli Kids gang so I thought a little introduction is a good idea.
I’m Anna, the founder and owner of Tuli Kids, an online shop that offers a range of fun and educational toys for children. I’m so happy to share with you my story and what inspired me to start this business.
I’ve always loved playing with toys and games, especially ones that spark my imagination and creativity. When I became a mum, I wanted to give my daughter Amelia the same joy and excitement that I had as a child. I also wanted to help her learn new things and develop new skills through play.
I started looking for toys that were not only fun, but also durable, eco-friendly, and ethically made. I was disappointed by the lack of options in the market back then, and I felt that there was a gap for quality toys that could inspire children to explore, create, and discover.
That’s when I decided to create Tuli Kids, a place where parents can find toys that are carefully selected for their design, functionality, and educational value. I work with small and independent brands that share my passion for creating beautiful and meaningful products for children.
Tuli Kids is more than just an online shop. It’s also a community of like-minded parents who want to give their children the best possible start in life. Oh, I can agree with this statement 100%. Today is International Yoga Day and this year’s theme is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which beautifully encapsulates collective aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. Something that is really important for all of us.
Personally, I really do enjoy yoga. Am I good at it? Hell no! What is important to me is the time I can just have time for myself, control my breathing, and relax.
I have to admit that my experience with yoga started, thanks to Naomi at In her element YogaBabe when I was attending with Amelia when she was very little and that hour on the mat with her was really special.
Now, we both enjoy a bit of Cosmic Kids Yoga and it’s so amazing watching her focus on her breathing. The fact that our children are being taught about mindfulness is mind-blowing! Yoga doesn’t need to be boring, and it can be a fun and effective way of keeping our children physically active and promoting relaxation and mindfulness at the same time.
Another way to do yoga with children is on Wobbel Board. It’s not just a toy! It’s such a versatile accessory that really has no end when you think about its usage. Dog Pose? Not a problem :)

The whole idea of starting Tuli Kids has been growing for some time now. Having been commuting and working in London for quite some allowed me to see some things more clearly, especially after going back to work after maternity leave. Even though I liked what I did in London I still felt I was missing all these precious moments in our baby’s life. So then I started thinking…what could I do? Boom!! The idea of opening business came and I started putting things into motion. I think the plan was to have babies and kids at heart from the very beginning, even though I haven’t realized that then. And…here we are!
Another part, probably the most tricky one, was how to call it. One day, when sitting on a train to London it just came to me…so easy… Why Tuli? That’s also easy. Our daughter, whenever she feels like it, says ‘tuli-tuli’ which means hug or cuddle in the language we speak. Not only this name is all about her, her needs, best moments when we can be close together, but also about the history we can tell you about. This is why we didn’t have any doubts that this is it! Tuli Kids was born.
On the other hand, when started thinking about a business, we wanted to make sure that all of the products we have are of the highest quality, tested, made from natural materials, organic, sustainable, and also beautiful, functional and making your kid, and you too, smile.
With the environmental changes that are happening now, we want to make sure that we can do something for our planet. We really believe that every little thing we do can help!
We are aware that in many cases, it is hard to buy products without packaging - it’s an unescapable reality of the business and one which stands to leave the biggest ecological footprint.
Our delivery packaging is 100% recyclable - from the tissue paper, insert cards, biodegradable stickers to wrapping paper we use! When sourcing products we also try to get them from makers/suppliers who use minimal packaging, or the one that is widely recycled.
So yes…this is our little step in the process of making our planet a better place. A better place for our children!
