The Norco Range CX - The Perfect Compromise?

We finally got our hands on the Norco Range VLT CX Bike to demo, and it might be the perfect compromise.

The right balance between smashing the DH trails and bigger days out on the trails.

🇧🇪 Behind the scenes at Nukeproof.

Yesterday we got a proper look inside the Belgian Cycling Factory — and it’s seriously impressive.

We followed the process right from the start, with parts being picked in the warehouse and then sent by elevator up to the assembly floor.

From there, a huge amount is still done by hand.

The frames are hand-sanded, painted on site and then have the decals applied by hand before heading through to final assembly.

It’s great to see that level of detail and craftsmanship going into each bike, rather than everything just disappearing down some giant automated production line in the far east.

Then we got shown something particularly cool…

The wind tunnel.

Sadly, phones in pockets for that bit — no photos allowed as there were riders in the tunnel. 👀

And, of course, no visit to Nukeproof would be complete without actually riding some bikes. This time on an old coal tip that’s been converted to a mini bike park!

A fascinating look at what goes into the bikes before they ever reach the shop floor — and a seriously impressive facility.

HOW IT WORKS 👇

Head to the Pedal Syndicate demo table in front of the shop when you arrive and get signed on.

We’ll give you a demo card, which you take to the manufacturer of whichever bike you're planning to abuse… sorry, test ride. 😏

Each bike can be taken out for 1 hour, so you could potentially try 3 different bikes during your 3-hour session.

And the best bit? Your ticket gives you access to bikes from all of these brands:

This Thursday we are doing things a little differently. We’re open 11am–8pm tomorrow for the Transition Demo, which means three things:

1️⃣ Some people are about to have a VERY good night.
Demo bikes, great trails and every reason to have fun. 🤘

2️⃣ Some of you are thinking… “What demo?”
Don’t worry, we’ve got you. FOD Fest is coming… and there’s plenty more demo action where that came from.

3️⃣ We are NOT opening at 9am.
Because Joe and Ferg don’t need to work an 11-hour day. And, quite frankly, there isn’t enough coffee in the Forest to make that happen. 😂

So, if you’re heading our way tomorrow, make sure you visit us between 11am–8pm.

After that, normal service resumes.
