Doing his bit (and more) to keep Gaelic alive on Arran local author Alistair Paul will be talking about his latest book of science fiction short stories “Iomall” tomorrow night Thursday 23rd in the Ormidale Pavilion at 7.30pm.
Entry is free and all are welcome. Please join us for what is sure to be an interesting insight into Al’s inspirations and support his endeavours and our local language. We’ll be chatting in English though!

The Arran Home Recipe Book

This features over 100 recipes with a focus on local produce, including Scottish classics and international favourites.

Recipes are supplied by cookbook author Nick Paul as well as some brilliant contributions from the Arran community. It has been designed by Arran-based graphic designer Simon Ross-Gill.

The recipes showcase the best of local Scottish produce with an emphasis on seasonality and sustainability. All are designed for the home cook with tips and variations to suit a range of tastes. Arran Eco Savvy is delighted to support the book and has contributed sustainable eating guidance. 10% of book sales will go to Eco Savvy to support environmental and social aims.
