🧁 BEHIND THE SCENES AT FRAGRANT WHISPERS 🧁

Today we're making a batch of one of those fragrances that makes you want to eat your wax melts… 😂

Vanilla Bean Buttercream 🤍

As soon as this fragrance starts going into the wax, the room fills with that gorgeous creamy vanilla sweetness. Think freshly whipped buttercream, vanilla icing and soft sugary sweetness, with that warm bakery-shop feeling in the background. 🧁🍦

It's rich and indulgent without being too heavy. The creamy vanilla and buttercream are definitely the stars, while a soft touch of musk underneath helps keep everything balanced and gives the fragrance that lovely lingering finish.

These Himalayan salts have just been fragranced and are now having a little rest before they can be packaged up. 🛁✨

They need to dry out properly first, so we leave them to do their thing before they’re ready to go into their tubs. 😊

I was actually going to try and film a little video while I was making these, so you could see how they’re made… but getting the camera to cooperate while actually trying to make the product? 🤦‍♀️😂

Let’s just say the video didn’t quite work out! 😂

So for now, here’s a little sneak peek at the process instead. 👀

Once they’ve dried, they’ll be ready to package and join the rest of our bath salts. 🛁💗

If you’re new around here, I thought I’d properly introduce myself. I’m one of the people behind Fragrant Whispers, a small family-run business making home fragrance, wax melts, bath & body products and lots of other lovely scented goodies. 🕯️🛁✨

But Fragrant Whispers actually started for a slightly different reason…

I used to have a cake business and sell at market stalls, but obviously cakes have a pretty short shelf life! 😂 I wanted something I could sell alongside them that would last a little longer, and bath bombs and soaps seemed like the obvious choice. 🤷‍♀️

Then we started making our own wax melts… and realised they were actually better than the ones we'd been buying wholesale. 👀

From there, we discovered cosmetic assessments and started making more and more of our own products. Before we knew it, Fragrant Whispers had grown from a little something to have alongside the cakes into what it is today. 💗

My favourite part is probably still creating new products and playing around with different fragrances. There’s something really satisfying about having an idea, making it, and then seeing someone choose it from our stall and take it home. ❤️

And yes… I have far too many fragrance oils. 😂
