Spooky season has officially entered the book club chat… 🎃👻📚

Every month, our members get a new prompt to inspire their book suggestions, before we put the nominations to a vote and decide what we’ll all be reading next!

Up until recently, our monthly prompts were mostly an inside scoop for the group chat… but we thought, why should they have all the fun? 👀

We shared our prompt on the page for the first time last month, and we’ve decided to make it a monthly thing! ✨

From now on you’ll get to follow along with our prompts, nominations and eventual book picks right here 💌

And of course, October HAD to be a spooky one…

🕯️🔮 October’s prompt is… 🔮🕯️

A book that gives off spooky vibes 🎃
Think: Halloweentown 🧙‍♀️✨

Give us witchy rom-coms, magical small towns, mysterious bookshops, cosy covens, autumnal magic, potions, pumpkins and things that go bump in the night 👻🍂

We want ALL the Halloween vibes whether that’s cute & cosy witchiness or something with a little more bite 🦇🖤

Basically, if it makes you want to light a candle, grab a blanket and curl up with a book while a cauldron bubbles somewhere in the background… we want it 🔮📖


Now the important question… what spooky-season read would YOU nominate? 👀

Wondering what to expect at your first Cozy Readers meetup? 🤍📚

First things first… absolutely no awkward standing around wondering where to sit 😂 Come in, grab yourself a drink, find a seat and get chatting!

We’ll have question prompts and conversation starters to break the ice, a little craft to keep our hands busy while we yap, and of course plenty of bookish chat ✨

You’ll even get the chance to suggest what we read next before we all vote together because everyone gets a say around here 🥹

Whether you come with a friend or brave it solo, you’ll be welcomed with open arms. We’re basically just a group of book lovers who meet once a month to read, craft, drink coffee and talk an unreasonable amount ☕️

So if you’ve been thinking about coming along but the thought of your first meetup feels a little scary… consider this your sign. We’d love to have you 🤍

Cozy season has officially arrived at The Cozy Readers and honestly… this is what we were made for 📚☕️

This September we’re embracing all the autumn vibes with cosy reads, pumpkins, autumn treats, plenty of coffee and of course even more bookish chats 🤎

Our September read is Unwanted by Mia Sheridan and we’ll be getting together on 19th September from 2–4pm at The Hub, Craigavon for our cosy autumn meetup! 🍁

Like… you expect me to just arrive and socialise with STRANGERS?!

But we promise, the scary bit lasts approximately five minutes before you realise we’re all just a bunch of bookworms who love reading, chatting absolute nonsense and enabling each other to buy more books 😂

Come alone or with a friend. You are ALWAYS welcome at The Cozy Readers 🤍

Because the hardest part is walking through the door… after that, you might just wonder why you didn’t join us sooner 🥹📖
