Volunteers in the shop are asked to follow the guidance for social distancing and health and safety, whilst in TopShop and their other permitted areas. At the end of each day of attendance all surfaces in TopShop need to b
e sanitised by the volunteers prior to leaving at the end of each day. PLEASE READ BELOW
Donations - Thursday drop off by appointment only
Donations are to be limited to 25 bags per week, these include any donations from Osborne Partnership Staff. If the customer finds they cannot make this time , please notify our staff as different collection time can be arranged. Telephone calls to arrange donations are to be taken by the Tops Textile Recycling staff (Helen and Jo) only. Donation items need to be limited to clothing and bric-a-brac. At this time Osborne cannot accept donations of books, dvds, cds, videos and electrical items. Donations are to be received on a Thursday only. Donations are received at the gate by the volunteers working in TopShop. Use of PPE (Mask, Gloves and Apron) is essential. The blue wheeled box to be taken to the gate so the person donating can place directly into it. If the items are heavy volunteers may request assistance from the Tops Textile Recycling staff. Members of the public are not permitted to enter Osborne premises and are requested to wear a mask. Donations to be isolated in the blue boxes pre-placed in TopShop for a minimum period of 72 hours. Selling - Currently online sales only - Collection of items by appointment only. TopShop Volunteers to determine prices of items, with support from Top Textile Staff if required. All items are checked by staff/volunteers before they are posted for sale. We do not accept refunds or exchanges unless an item is faulty. Items for sale on line are to be labelled with details of the item and price. Items sold to have the buyers details added to the label for collection details once sold. Sold items to be collected by the buyer at a pre-arranged time only. If the customer finds they cannot make this time a different collection time can be arranged. Volunteers in TopShop to arrange collection times. Collections and exchange of money to be done at the gate. The blue wheeled box to be taken to the gate so the person collecting may take their purchases. Members of the public are not permitted to enter Osborne premises, they are requested to wear masks and bring their own bags. A method of money collection to be made via a suitable receptacle (Eg Fishing net).
