Ger orf moi land!

Trevor Biscoe says he became fed up with people wandering across his land despite several notices asking them to stick to the public footpath. After one particularly busy weekend, he took a day off work, moved his cows into a neighbouring field and built what he calls "The Cabbage Cannon".

Using a collection of old rotten cabbages, Trevor spent the day firing vegetables at unsuspecting shortcut-takers while shouting, "Get off my land!"

"I got the idea from an old VHS of The A-Team I found at a car boot sale," said Trevor. "They built a cannon that fired cabbages. It was amazing how the bad guys with their machine guns were no match against Hannibal and his cabbage launcher."

Witnesses reported seeing cabbages launched across the field at speeds described as "bleddy fast", although no injuries were reported apart from one walker who was hit in the rucksack by a partially fermented Savoy.

Trevor admitted the scheme may not solve the problem long-term.
"They'll be back tomorrow," he said. "But it was fun, maybe I'll be back for round two on my next day off."

He added that one unexpected benefit was spending the entire day with a large cigar clenched between his teeth, just like Hannibal from the A Team.
"The cigar was the best bit,” he said.

The local council has confirmed there are currently no specific bylaws covering the use of anti-trespass cabbage launchers, although officials say if it continues they will erect a sign, saying "duck and cover!" 🍂🥬
