We sourced this piece from a farmhouse clearance and it had been well used and loved. We found all sorts of bits and bobs inside including agricultural invoices and newspapers dating back to the 1960s which we re-cycled by using to decoupage the drawer fronts.

The internal brass small drawer pulls are all original, but the main drawer handles we have replaced with lovely detailed brass cups.

Lots of small repairs were needed but nothing that detracts from its use. It is a huge sturdy solid piece. Does it have nicks and cracks? Yes. However they only serve to give it its aged character.

The wood has been lovingly stained with burnt linseed oil and the rest has been painted in Fusion Mineral's Putty, a lovely cream shade before brown wax applied as a top coat to age it back a little.

The inside little door houses a secret false bottom and it has pull out supports to hold the drop down desk. The keys are sadly lost and the small ornate door key and escutcheon are purely decorative. Lovely bunned feet. There was obviously a top piece to this which has been removed or lost which is evident by small holes as seen in the photographs.

This piece has been lovingly restored taking weeks of work and still has years of service left.

Antique wooden pedestal table that folds flat, decoupaged and blended with this lovely British Bulldog. It has nicks, it has imperfections, but is still a lovely sturdy table. We can see it fitting well in a man cave or home bar. (Last image Ai assisted)
