27/09/2026

September 27, 1986. Forty years ago today, thrash metal lost its compass on a frozen road in Ljungby, Sweden.

Cliff Burton was only 24, but his grip on heavy music was already absolute. He brought classical music theory, relentless finger speed, and heavy fuzz distortion to a genre that was still finding its footing. Tracks like "Orion" and "Anesthesia" proved the bass didn't just have to sit in the background and follow the rhythm—it could lead the charge.

Four decades later, that aggressive tone and stage presence remain the gold standard for bass players worldwide. Major Rager on the four-string, rest in peace.

There are also reports of a leaked schedule suggesting 23 UK shows across Glasgow, Manchester and Knebworth, plus possible European dates and five nights at Slane Castle in Ireland.

🗣️ NOEL'S HINT

Noel Gallagher recently spoke to talkSPORT about Manchester City and dropped an interesting line:

"There's not a football tournament next summer."

Make of that what you will… 👀

📽️ THE TIMING IS NO ACCIDENT

Oasis split in 2009.

In 2025, Liam and Noel reunited for the first time in 16 years, playing shows across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

Now their reunion story has just hit cinemas with Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger, the documentary covering the Live '25 comeback.

Three decades after Definitely Maybe, Oasis are still capable of turning the internet upside down.

4PM Monday. Set an alarm. 🕓

Miniature guitar replica - Johnny Ramone mosaic blue collectible by Axman 🎸

August 16, 1974. The Ramones played their first gig at CBGB on the Bowery in New York City. The set lasted about 17 minutes. Nobody in the room knew it yet, but punk rock had just been born.

At the centre of it all was Johnny Ramone — feet planted, right arm locked in a permanent buzzsaw downstroke, clutching that unmistakable blue mosaic single-cutaway like a weapon. While prog bands were playing 20-minute solos, Johnny stripped rock and roll back to its bones. Sheena Is a Punk Rocker, I Wanna Be Sedated, Blitzkrieg Bop — every one of them powered by that relentless right hand.

He played the same way for over two decades. No effects pedals, no tuning changes, no messing about. Just volume and velocity. Dee Dee counted it in, and Johnny did the rest.

When he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, his speech was ten words long. That tells you everything you need to know about the man.

This handcrafted 1:4 scale replica captures that legendary blue mosaic finish — a fitting tribute to one of punk's most important figures.

Miniature guitar replica - Chuck Schuldiner Death collectible by Axman 🎸

December 13th, 2001. The world lost Chuck Schuldiner, and heavy music lost its most visionary architect.

Before Chuck, death metal didn't really exist as we know it. He built the blueprint with Death's 1987 debut Scream Bloody Gore, then spent the next fourteen years tearing that blueprint apart and rebuilding it — every album pushing further than anyone thought the genre could go.

By the time The Sound of Perseverance dropped in 1998, Chuck had evolved from underground extremity into something genuinely progressive and technically staggering. Tracks like Voice of the Soul and Spirit Crusher proved he wasn't just a pioneer — he was a composer in the truest sense.

He was only 34 when he passed. What he achieved in that time reshaped an entire genre. The influence runs through every corner of extreme music today.

This UK handcrafted miniature replica pays tribute to a true legend. Every detail is carefully made to honour the man they called the godfather of death metal.

When Max Cavalera walked out on Sepultura in 1996, he didn't just leave a band — he split the entire thrash metal world in two.

But rewind to June 1991. Arise had just dropped and Sepultura were tearing through Donington at Monsters of Rock, proving Brazilian thrash could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone on the planet. By 1996, Roots had fused metal with Xavante tribal percussion and created something nobody had heard before.

Then came Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, and decades of relentless touring. Max never stopped. That downtuned aggression, those primal riffs — from "Territory" to "Jumpdaf**kup" — the man carved his own lane and stayed in it.

This handcrafted 1:4 scale miniature guitar replica from Axman captures Max Cavalera's iconic look. Every detail is finished by hand right here in the UK.

Miniature guitar replica - Neil Young acoustic collectible by Axman 🎸

January 1979. Neil Young walks onto the stage at the Boarding House in San Francisco with nothing but that beaten-up acoustic and a harmonica. No Crazy Horse. No Buffalo Springfield. Just him.

What followed became the legendary "Live Rust" warmup shows — stripped-back performances of "Sugar Mountain," "I Am a Child," and "Comes a Time" that reminded everyone why Neil Young with an acoustic guitar is one of the most powerful forces in music.

That acoustic has been there through everything. Through Harvest. Through Tonight's the Night. Through Prairie Wind and beyond. It's the sound of a man who never once compromised.

We've handcrafted this 1:4 scale miniature replica right here in the UK — every detail captured, from the worn top to the familiar shape that's been on stages for over fifty years.

Miniature guitar replica - Josh Homme Queens of the Stone Age collectible by Axman 🎸

When Josh Homme disbanded Kyuss in 1995 and started building something new in the California desert, nobody could have predicted what was coming. By the time "Songs for the Deaf" dropped in 2002 — featuring Dave Grohl behind the kit — Queens of the Stone Age had redefined what heavy rock could sound like.

Homme's playing has always been about that low-tuned, hypnotic groove. Tracks like "No One Knows," "Sick, Sick, Sick," and "A Song for the Dead" hit like a freight train, and his guitar tone is one of the most recognisable in modern rock. Whether headlining Reading & Leeds or tearing through sets at the Forum in LA, that instrument is inseparable from the man.

This 1:4 scale handcrafted replica captures Josh's signature guitar in stunning detail — a proper piece for any QOTSA fan's shelf.

Miniature guitar replica - Don McLean collectible by Axman 🎸

8 minutes and 42 seconds. That's how long "American Pie" runs — and it's never felt like enough.

When Don McLean sat down to write about the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper near Clear Lake, Iowa on February 3rd, 1959, he didn't just write a song. He wrote the eulogy for an entire era of rock and roll.

Released in 1971, it hit #1 and stayed there. The Troubadour, The Bitter End, concert halls across America — McLean carried that acoustic guitar everywhere, and "American Pie" became the song that every generation discovers and never forgets.

"Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)", "Castles in the Air", "Crying" — the man's catalogue runs deep. But that opening line... "A long, long time ago..." — you're already singing it, aren't you?

This handcrafted 1:4 scale replica captures Don McLean's famous acoustic in stunning detail.
