🍂Happy First Day of Autumn 2024🍂

Most of you will know that Autumn is my favourite season. I love the changing colours of the leaves, the crisp chill in the air and snuggling up with a cozy blanket and a hot chocolate.

One of my favourite places to go is the beach. I love the feel of the sand between my toes and the waves rushing over my feet.

What I don't love is standing on wrappers, bottle caps, plastic cutlery and other bits of rubbish.

We wouldn't leave these items lying around on the floor in our homes so why do we feel it's ok to leave it on the beach?

Why do we feel it's acceptable to leave them where they are getting into our waterways and killing our marine life?

This week is all about educating against these actions and where volunteers take to beaches up and down the country to clean up other people's rubbish.

So if you're visiting the beach this week, you can play a part. Take your rubbish home and recycle what you can or find a local bin and dispose of it.

Even better, join in the clean up
