New Compliment Cards…Want To See 👀🫶🏻

Now the old batch is completed it was about time I created my own 👩🏻‍🎨

And it was important for me that they aligned with me and my business Holly’s Handmades 22

I mean they just had to be personal, that’s what it’s all about for me 🫶🏻👩🏻‍🎨

You may all be thinking…that’s going to be time consuming creating a different painting for each compliment card ⌛️

But that time is well worth the investment in using my art to help spread joy along with a written compliment 💚

I mean the more time I get to paint, the happier I am so it’s a huge win for me 🫶🏻

I just can’t wait to start handing these new compliment cards out 🥰

Can You Help Me With A Pricing Problem?

Incase I didn’t explain it very clearly…⬇️

Here’s an example…if I’m making a paint your own canvas 👩🏻‍🎨

One would require: 1 canvas, 1 paint brush, 1 set of 6 paint pots and 6 coloured paints to fill them

The problem is all these items come in multiple packs and I need to know how much just 1 of them costs 😵‍💫

It’s a struggle especially with having dyscalculia and believe me calculators ain’t my friend 😵‍💫😂

Now is there an app or system that you could put the price for each pack into and it tells me what 1 would cost? 🤷🏻‍♀️

So if anyone can help me out I would be soooo grateful 💚

Every Month Needs A Job…Here’s My October’s 📝👩🏻‍🎨

I’ve recently done a planning and prep session for October to December 📝

It involved looking at what I want to realistically achieve by the end of the year for these areas…

🟩 Health
🟩 Money
🟩 Work & Career
🟩 My Life Outside of Work
🟩 The Things I’m Done With

And once I got clearer on what I really want from these areas I then looked at giving each month a set job ⬇️

Breaking that down to my main focus and my 3 priorities 💚👩🏻‍🎨

Then looking at how I can get specific by putting things in the calendar 🗓️

And then asking myself…”What can I do in the next 7 days?”

But looking at…

🟩 One thing for my health
🟩 One thing for my money
🟩 One thing for my work
🟩 One thing I’ve been avoiding
🟩 One thing just for me

And honestly, I find this structure of planning and really looking at all aspects of your life so valuable ✨

I love how it combines all of what’s important and it’s all in one plan 🫶🏻

So tell how, how do you do your 3 month planning? And what’s your main focus and 3 priorities for October? ⬇️💚

First Time Drawing On A Baby Grow & What A Success 👩🏻‍🎨…

This was kind of the perfect game for me at my best friends baby shower 🫶🏻

However it was still testing of my skills because I always draw out in pencil first

This task meant I wasn’t able to do this and just had to commit and trust my abilities ✨

And honestly I was so happy and proud of what I created 🫶🏻

I guess it proves just how capable of an artist I actually am 👩🏻‍🎨💚

The Deeper Meaning To My Compliment Cards 💚

I’ve been giving out compliment cards in my personal life for a really long time 💌

But it’s never just been about simply complimenting someone

It goes much deeper than that for me…⬇️

I’ve shared many times of my mental health struggles and that it’s been a major part of my 34 years of life 😔

I’ve experienced some really dark days, battling suicidal thoughts and even attempted to end my life 💔

It’s hard when you feel so consumed by the pain and your mind is full of the worst thoughts

So for me because I know how hard and debilitating life can be I simply don’t wish that kind of suffering on anyone

That is why I actively give out compliment cards to even for a moment make someone smile, feel valued 🫶🏻

And maybe be the reason they decide to stay for one more day 💚

So it seemed only right for it to be apart of Holly’s Handmades 22 👩🏻‍🎨

And I’m proud that in my nearly 4 years in business giving these out that people still tell me…

🟩 “It’s been the highlight of my day”

🟩 “It’s on my office wall so I see it everyday”

And after a long time of development my compliment cards are improving 💌

In a way that links to what my business is centred around…personalisation 🫶🏻💚

It’s Time To Mention That Dreaded Word…

I’m sure you’ll all know what word I mean

Funnily enough I don’t enjoy that word despite me doing so much for it in my business 😂

But I know for a lot it brings them so much joy and excitement 🫶🏻🥳

Craft Fairs Inspire Me To…💚⬇️

1️⃣ Create more artwork to share with the world that also helps people celebrate their loved ones 👩🏻‍🎨🫶🏻

2️⃣ Challenge my self doubt as I get many compliments for my art and that makes me feel good knowing my art and business mean something to others 🎨💌🫶🏻

3️⃣ Continue to centre my business on personalisation because people actually share the same views and appreciation for it 🫶🏻

4️⃣ And finally sign up to more fairs to reach more people to help them celebrate their loved ones with one of a kind personalised pieces of art 🎨💌🫶🏻

I do love doing craft fairs but they can be a challenge, I mean you might not always get a lot of sales 💷

Or sometimes it can feel draining of energy and trigger my chronic pain being stuck sat all day with limited movement 👎🏻

And sometimes even that self doubt can begin to whisper “no one wants to buy from you, your artwork isn’t good enough” 😔

But then all it takes is for one person to show interest in my stall and we share a conversation

Which usually I hear things like “You have such a talent, it’s amazing that you’ve drawn these”

I mean how can I not enjoy hearing compliments like that 🫶🏻

So you see as challenging as craft fairs can be, they truly help inspire me 💚
