3 Things Mentoring Taught Me
That I Use In Business…👩🏻🎨
Being a mentor for young people is so rewarding, challenging and fun 🫶🏻✨
On reflection it’s made me realise how closely the skills in mentoring match those in my business ⬇️
And these 3 things I would say are the most important skills needed in my business…
💚 Active Listening
💚 Paitence
💚 Attention To Detail
And how exactly do I use these skills…? 🤔
🟩 Active listening helps me to understand exactly about my customers loved one
Using the basic information based on their hobbies, favourite colour etc
And mixing with my artistic skills to create art that shows true appreciation and care ✨💌
🟩 Paitence helps me give space for customers to share personal and sometimes vulnerable stories
And it allows me the space I need to deliver high quality products that have time to dry
While ensuring to check in with the customer throughout the process
So that any alterations can be made without any fuss ✨🎨
🟩 Attention To Detail allows me to hone in deeper to my creative skills
Ensuring the painting or card are flawlessly executed and capture true likeness
While adding those important, personal little touches
That means I nearly always get a “yes, I love it” first time round ✨💚
So you see mentoring has really taught me valuable skills for my business
