Coppertop Customs and Full Bore Competitions have teamed up to give one of you the chance to win a £300 voucher to put towards your own Coppertop Customs knife.

Fancy building your own? Pick the handle, liners, pins, sheath and even add some custom laser work.

Or if there’s already one in the current range that takes your fancy, you can put the voucher towards that and get it without the wait.

£300 towards a custom knife. Not a bad bit of kit to win.

Head over to Full Bore Competitions for all the details and to get entered.

A day in the life of a knife maker.

Today was all about handsanding.

Not the most exciting job in the workshop, but one of those jobs that makes a massive difference to the finished knife.

It’s basically hours of rubbing bits of steel with increasingly fine bits of sandpaper, stopping every five minutes to check if you’ve actually made it any better.

It’s slow, it’s dusty and it’s not particularly glamorous.

But when those grinding marks finally disappear and the finish starts to come together, it’s worth it.

Tomorrow… next comes the handle work.

From the workshop to wherever the outdoors takes you

A colour combination that needs no introduction in Scotland. 🟠🔵
This one started with a bit of inspiration from a certain Scottish favourite of mine.

The handle is made from Kirinite, with those unmistakable orange and blue colours, finished with matching blue liners to give it a bit of extra character.
Handmade from start to finish here at Coppertop Customs.

A wee nod to home, and one that wont be lost in the outdoors.

3" Drop Point Hunter in 14c28n
Now Available

This one started with a simple idea: a practical hunting knife with a handle that really stands out.

The resin handle was made in house by
Mrs Coppertop, mixing vibrant oranges and greens sitting on some neon green liners. Once on the knife it was heavily textured and the result has the look of raw gemstones and weathered rock, with a surface that catches the light beautifully.

That texture isn't just for looks. It gives a seriously secure grip, especially when you're outdoors, working in wet conditions or wearing gloves.

This will be finished with a Kydex sheath and belt loop.

What do you think?

All finished up, the new 4" Gralloch Model.

This version has had a full reprofile, with a thinner blade and a reshaped handle for a more secure and comfortable grip. The finger guard has been extended and the heel hook rounded off to give better control in the hand.

This one is finished in Green GripX, with rubber infused into the material for superb grip, even when wet.

Finished off with TurboGlow liners, so when the sun starts to disappear, the handle doesn't.

A proper working tool, built for the job.
