After a 3 year haitus (due to covid), I finally arranged a live Mindful Origami workshop.
I ran two workshops with The Maker Store Amsterdam. De Hallen Amsterdam

I just received a lovely letter from one of my workshop attendees. They told me that they were currently recovering in hospital and had started making origami envelopes to send thank you notes to the staff! It makes me so happy to hear they are happy making others happy!

I know this is not origami. In the Netherlands they have Sinterklass which is "Dutch Santa claus".

They have a tradition called Sinterklass surprise. This is similar to secret santa/kris kringle were you get a random person to buy a gift for.

There is a slight difference in that the gift is meant to be elaborately disguised!

You are usually given the name of the receiver and also some presents and hobbies/things that they like. You then go buy a gift and spend a few days going crazy making something awesome like this!.
