This piece of land will one day become a wonderful mixed coniferous forest that plays its part in protecting the biodiversity of the local area in Poland 🌻 🌳 🐝

Our long-term aim at SproutWorld is to give back more to the planet than we take out. In 2021, we signed up to the Forest Carbon Farms Project – to buy and restore degraded land and plant a native forest on it that will bring back biodiversity to the local environment 🌱 🌎

We chose this project because it's located in Poland, close to where we sustainably harvest the wood for our pencils.✏️

After 18 months spent preparing the soil, some of the SproutWorld team went out to Poland in March to help the second phase of the project - planting new trees and shrubs, including pine, birch, spruce, oak, rowan and crabapple 🌳🌲
