All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time. Mitch Albom

🌼Lately this quote has been on my mind and resonates with a phase I have been going through in life. In the past few months I had lost life satisfaction , my heart filled with hopelessness because I had unexpectedly lost an opportunity which I had been waiting for and had anchored all my hopes and dreams on. I felt my whole world crashing to pieces. I lost all hope , felt helpless and ultimately depression crept in. Later I realised I was looking at a closed door which will never open , I allowed myself time to accept the situation, mourn my loss and look for the next open door. It is not easy to identify something new to replace something finished.

🌼Another life saver was the book titled Forgiveness and Healing by Naume Ndoro Kusotera. In the book the author mentioned that healing Is about reframing your experiences so that they add depth and meaning to your life. I am still grieving my loss but I am on a journey of healing to move past the pain and take back control over life.

You too can overcome the pain of losing an opportunity , loved one , job or a relationship.

He was angry at God and his father for leaving such a huge responsibility to him that he never took care of himself as he worked for his ungrateful family. He had seen other families helping each other out. Why was it not possible in his family? why did his siblings hate him?what about the pain in his heart?....."

An extract from my current read Forgiveness and Healing authored by Naume Ndoro Kusotera. A book dedicated to everyone who is struggling in letting go of the pain and harm that was done to them and is now living in unforgiveness.

STOP CHASING THE BUTTERFLIES

A young lad asked his grandfather,

"Grandpa, I want to be a star, I want to be in movies. When I grow up, I want to see the world, drive nice cars, and live in a house made of glass. Yes, I really want to be successful and great. So tell me, how do I chase all my goals, and catch them faster?"

The grandfather stopped for a moment, turned around, and then spotted a huge and super beautiful butterfly dancing on a flower. At once, he said,

"Oh, my God! What a magnificent butterfly! Now, hurry... hurry and chase after it! Make sure you catch it! Don't let it fly away! Move!"

The young lad hurriedly ran to the butterfly, but as he tried to take hold of it, the butterfly suddenly flew up into the wind. He ran after it, trying to catch it, but it was flying so fast. He ran around and around the garden until he got tired, and then he could no longer see the butterfly. Panting with loss of breath, he returned to his grandfather, wheezing,

"I couldn't catch it, grandpa! It flew away!"

The grandfather smiled for a moment, then held the young lad by his hand and took him to a corner. He waited until he calmed down, then he whispered into his ear,

"Listen, boy, let me teach you a lesson, a valuable life lesson. If you spend your time chasing butterflies, they'll fly away. But if you spend your time creating a beautiful garden, the butterflies will come to you. You see... that butterfly is like your goals in life. In our journey of success, it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of immediate goals, the fleeting butterflies of life. However, the real magic happens when we focus on building something substantial, akin to cultivating a vibrant garden. Instead of relentlessly chasing, channel your energy into creating and nurturing. Build something meaningful, whether it's a project, a skill, or a relationship. The beauty you will cultivate will attract opportunities, experience, and success naturally. So don't chase love, money, or success. Become the best version of yourself and those things will come to you."

Walk away from what no longer serves you a job situations and people. Learn to set boundaries and protect your inner peace.

Attention to relationships

In all relationships attention is a valuable thing, but what does attention look like in the course of life??
🌼Leo's oldest daughter Katherine shared one of her strongest memory she had of her father Leo. Every summer when he was not teaching, Leo would take one child each week for camping and fishing.
🌼She remembers her father being attentive to her,asking about her life and what she thought about things. Leo gave his children focused attention and offered it to his wife as well.

🌼These small things small moments in Leo's life taken over a lifetime add up to create memories.Make time with your family,friends and loved ones , when you do make it count.

🌼Attention is the basic form of love.

All things are difficult before they are easy. Thomas Fuller. Be patient.

🌼The first day my son was learning to write he threw the pencil down in a fit of rage. His hand coordination was poor and he could not figure out how to properly hold the pencil. I had to patiently teach him beginner skills like grip practice and tracing letters of the alphabet. Lots of encouragement was given during the process.
🌼The same goes for anything we set out to do in life, nothing is smooth going at first but time can perform miracles and we become skillful at whatever we set out to do.
🌼If you have faith that GOD will work out things for your good it will work out in the end.
