Small businesses are the backbone of this country. Creating the jobs, serving our communities, supporting local families, bringing life to our high streets, and keeping money moving in the real economy.

It's UK Small Business Week, and we'd like to take a moment to celebrate the thousands of small businesses that help make our communities unique.

Behind every small business is a person (or family!) pouring their heart, time, energy and savings into creating something special. We're not backed by huge corporations or massive marketing budgets. We rely on the support of our customers and local communities to keep doing what we love.

Supporting a small business doesn't always mean spending money. You can make a huge difference by:

⭐ Recommending a business to friends and family
⭐ Sharing their social media posts
⭐ Leaving a review
⭐ Commenting, liking and engaging with their content
⭐ Simply telling others about businesses you love

🌟 Celebrating UK Small Business Week | 1st–7th June 2026 🌟

At The Forgotten Toy Shop we’re incredibly proud to be a small independent business.

Running a small business means wearing many hats every single day — choosing products, updating the website, serving customers in our Edwalton shop, packing online orders, answering emails, creating social media content, and constantly looking for ways to keep the magic of traditional play alive.

It can be hard work, but it is also deeply rewarding.

Every order placed, every visit to our shop, every social media share, comment, recommendation, and kind review makes a huge difference. Your support helps us continue doing what we love: bringing nostalgic, high-quality toys and games to families across the UK and helping children create, discover, and imagine.

Small businesses are built on passion, perseverance, and community — and we are so grateful to have such wonderful customers supporting us on this journey.
