A project we’re running at Moray School Bank for children to come and choose and make gifts for their grown up to receive on Christmas Day.

I remember going to choose a gift for my Mum with my Aunty and she still has the wee brass frog sitting on the mantle (I’ve not idea what she thought when she opened it!) and I think she’s also still got the jotter I wrapped in Christmas paper as a recipe book!

We want children to share those memories of going to do something special for someone special. 💞

We’ll be looking for donations of small gifts and sweeties too but this will help us get started.

Dasher, Brian, Prancer, Bob, Sven, H***y, Comet, Ollie, Holly, Iceberg, Big Boy, Bella, Brooke, Rudy, Tinsel & Barbara!

The big purple tent will be hosting MSB with loads of festival fun, and the famous Easter Egg tombola on Sunday!

I know a lot of crafter and local retailers that have struggled this year so I know I’m not alone when I say its been a really quiet Christmas for Sand Art this year. I’ve not been able to do as many markets and stalls and have relied on online and social media and that’s definitely not been as successful (or as much fun!)

It’s also been a bumper year for people requesting donations and raffle prizes! I’ve just have not been able to say yes to that volume! But I’ve gladly given to those who have supported my wee business over the last few years.

Postage costs, stock costs and minimum orders and the time that it takes to make up the packs and orders versus trying to keep retail cost affordable have really not made it worthwhile any more, I’ve only kept going because I know when the kids get to do it they love it!

So with a heavy heart, this will be my last Christmas!

All bookings and events for 2025 are still going ahead, there will be stock available and will still be able order some pictures on request.

It’s been so much fun and I want to finish up before I lose the love for it!
