Our park partner Buchan Development Partnership is hosting the annual Aden Tractor Day this Sunday 20 September, 11am - 3.30pm

We have over 50 tractors booked in for the static display - access to view is £2 per adult and children under 16 are free. Please take cash only for this.

We are lucky to have some Clydesdale Horses visiting us, please listen to the handlers and do not feed them.

There will also be a Craft Fayre, with local stalls selling a variety of hand made items, and we have a stall selling, amongst other things, toy tractors!

Food vendors, who will be set up in the Coach Car Park on the day, are A & Z Delicious Donuts, Edelwurst Catering, Thistle Catering, Jimmy's Wake Up Wagon and Buchan Ices.

Bouncy Mania will also be with us.

All of these activities will be held in the field next to the play park.

Mintlaw & District Men's Shed , over in Gardeners Cottage, are holding their Open Day and Tool Sale. Be sure to pay them a visit.

Down in the Courtyard you will find The Friends of Aden & Gift Shop, selling hot drinks, cold drinks and ice creams. Aden Cafe will also be open for light snacks, hot and cold refreshments and lunches.

Aberdeenshire Museums Service will have Tractor Day activities in the Theatre - crafts, jigsaws, colouring sheets, puzzles and much more. They will also have a Tractor Trail around the museum. All the activities in the museum are free of charge.

We visited Aden Country Park to drop off some soaps, and they have a fantastic collection of Goaty Soapy products! 🐐🧼

Beautiful handmade goat milk soaps – made from my very own goats’ milk, milked here every single morning. Every bar is hand-crafted from scratch and available in individual packets or gift sets.

Hand lotion – presented in beautiful amber glass bottles and, again, made from scratch right here. With a lovely range of essential oils and fragrance oils, there’s something for everyone. 🌿

Coasters – laser-printed by Cheapskate Crafts and beautifully modelled by Phantom, each one features a cheeky goaty quote. 🐐

Hand-felted dryer balls – made using my own Herdwick fleeces. No dryer? No problem! These very pretty natural wool balls can be used in your cupboards, wardrobes or anywhere around the house. Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to naturally scent your home, without using harsh chemicals. 🌿

Tote bags – unique, high-quality bags decorated with an embroidered donkey and sunflowers. They’re fully lined and include an inside pocket. 👜🌻

There is so much to choose from, making these perfect gifts for friends and family — or a lovely little treat for yourself! 💚🐐

So this year I got Barbra’s daughter’s fleece processed by Zoe at Fleece4ewe, Wee Barbra is a blackie/herdwick cross, mum being Barbra (Blackie) and dad being Mr McGregor (Herdwick). She has such a bonnie fleece. Zoe washed, picked and carded the fleece for me so I can make more dryer balls. For such a small girl I was impressed with what I got back, so look out for Wee Barbra’s drying ball soon.

It’s where it all started………..

After Nicola did a crazy google search for goats — not even knowing what flavour we were needing 😅😂 — she found wee Badger advertised. Well, it was actually his brother who was advertised, but he sold, and it was Badger and Donkey I went to see.

I can’t thank Katy enough for helping me start my goat journey with the most beautiful, loving goats. Badger is no longer with us, but he produced many wonderful offspring. ❤️

We now have 4 generations from Donkey, and she is the most wonderful lady! In full retirement and extremely loved. 🥰

It’s crazy to think what we’ve achieved in those seven years. 😌❤️

After a wonderful weekend away to Ayr and on to the Isle of Arran for a hike and cold dip, I took the opportunity to drop off some stock at Drumturk Cheese for Denise.

I absolutely love driving over Glenshee, so this wasn’t work at all! 😍

Denise at Drumturk Cheese has the most beautiful Toggenburg goats. With their milk, she makes many different varieties of award-winning goat’s milk cheese and curds. They are absolutely delicious! 😋

Alongside her wonderful cheeses, she also hand-makes beautiful tote bags in all sizes. It’s such a privilege to have my soaps alongside these amazing products.

Oh, and you can buy some biscuits and feed her stunning goats too! The money from this all goes back to charity. 🐐❤️

Today we have a scheduled power cut from 9-4, so I set the alarm a little bit earlier and got milking and feeding done, we headed over to cycling, then Burger King by the beach, back via Grampian Pet supplies for dog food, then goats in the park and then finally back home for a coffee in sunflower, handy this wee trailer 😁🥰
