Yes, postage is a tad pricey these days and yes, Charities need our money, but why not do both?
'Just a Card' means so much to so many; it shows you're thinking of them and care enough to choose a card and write in it and take it to a post box. It brings a smile to their face when they see a hand-written envelope on the door mat rather than a bill or a flyer from the local takeaway. It brightens up their mantlepiece. It makes an artist somewhere feel valued that you've chosen their artwork and a printer glad they were chosen to produce the card and a seller proud to support both the artist and the printer. What's more, most decent Christmas cards also support charities and these days, most are printed here in the UK (check the back of the card).
