🐝 A Quick Visit to the Apiary 🍯

Just a short visit today to check whether our new queen from BeckyBeckys Beezzzsbeen accepted into the NUC.

Great news — she has! 👑🐝

We’ve also added the new Ashforth Poly feeders from AbeloAbeloch should make feeding nice and straightforward.

For now, it’s simply a weekly check, lifting or hefting the hives to monitor their food levels and make sure they have enough to keep them going.

Another little step forward for our bees — and another lesson learned for us! 🐝❤️

🌿 A quiet week at Budbrooke Honey… but plenty going on behind the scenes! 🐝

Our new website is coming along nicely and will be launching soon. 🍯

Meanwhile, we’ve been busy making our beeswax candles and beeswax polish, ready for the next stage of our product range.

Saturday will be hive-check day, when we’ll be checking each hive’s syrup supplies and, most importantly, seeing how our new queens are settling in and doing. 🐝👑

And this happy little lady? She was simply getting on with her day, happily working away on our wild rocket. 🌼🐝

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Budbrooke Honey this year — we’ve now officially sold out of our honey for 2026! 🐝

But… I’m trying to convince Jilly to let me dip into our personal reserves. 😂

We might have around 5 or 6 jars tucked away for ourselves, so if you’d really like some, please DM us and I’ll see if I can work some magic! 🍯🐝

So an interesting morning at the Apiary.

A couple of weeks ago we introduced a new Queen. We made a couple of mistakes and thought she was rejected…
