I spoke to a lady who has a roof tent, but hates having to take it on and off the car.

She doesn’t want to own yet another vehicle that needs tax and MOT, (which rules out campervans and motorhomes) and a caravan just isn’t for her.

She then found Tracka.

Our HTFC's gave her another option. Something practical, comfortable and designed for people who want the freedom of camping without all the extra complications.

I've camped in pretty much everything you can camp in.

For me though, camping must feel like camping, where I feel connected to the outdoors and where life feels simple and stripped back.

I do love the grandeur of motorhomes and the craftsmanship that goes into them, but personally I don't get that fuzzy feeling inside that I get from a more basic camping set-up.

Tracka is trying to strike the perfect balance between comfort, but also the feeling of still being on a proper camping trip.

Caravans are not exactly parking friendly.

The cost to store caravans and motorhomes are not cheap and so it's no wonder people try and park them at home if they can, which is not always ideal.

HTFC's are a lightweight, compact way to camp in the UK and are small enough to be parked on driveways and in most garages.

Don't be fooled by their small footprint though. Inside you still get 2 double beds, space to relax and an internal fitted kitchen.

All this under a solid hard roof which automatically goes up and down with Tracka's signature Easy Riser system.

Just another way HTFC's make camping feel easy and relaxed, so you go away more often and spend more time together.

Some days remind you exactly why getting outdoors matters.

Sunshine, fresh air, a peaceful spot by the river and nowhere you need to rush off to.

In essence, this is what Tracka is all about. Making it easier to switch off, recharge and enjoy more of the incredible countryside we have here in the UK.

If the weather is this good, make the most of it. Get outside, find your favourite spot and enjoy the simple things in life.

The response to Tracka so far has been superb.

Starting a new business is never easy, but particularly challenging when you’re introducing something very different.

But the support, encouragement and feedback we’ve received has made every step worth it.

More and more people are seeing what a HTFC can bring to the table: better insulation, greater durability, more rigidity and a more comfortable camping experience overall.

That support gives us even more motivation to keep improving, keep building and make Tracka something UK campers can genuinely enjoy for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who has commented, shared feedback, supported the journey or simply followed along.

Tracka Campers is a small family business based in Devon, UK.🇬🇧

We lived in Australia for many years and discovered a style of camping that I just had to draw attention to, to help other people experience it. 🇭🇲

Hard top folding campers or HTFC's are as family friendly as they get, without the need to buy a campervan, motorhome or caravan.

You can also forget packing the car within an inch of its life whilst camping in a tent!

We may not be for everyone but it's great to see a growing contingent of Tracka HARD-Top folding camper fans who want to camp smarter, not harder.

The joy of motorhome freedom...but not so great for popping to the shops.

I've experienced wonderful trips away in motorhomes, but I didn't like the feeling of being somewhat tied to my camping pitch.

Unhooking and having full access to my car and to more easily park, wherever I end up has been invaluable when using my HTFC - Hard Top Folding Camper.

Just another way HTFC'S make camping feel easy and relaxed. 😎

A lot of people are put off by bulky caravans, hence the rise of tear drops.

Tear drop caravans like this one are light, easy to tow and easy to store, but the one compromise is unfortunately space and may not suit families.

HTFC's are designed to be light weight and easy to tow and store, but also come with 2 double beds, a separate living space and an internal fitted kitchen.

They're suitable for anyone who want an all-in-one family camping experience that really does tick all the boxes.

If your family camping trips have room for improvement (and you'd like them to feel easier and more relaxing), then HTFC's are something worth knowing about.
