From our workshop in 'The Old Cow Shed', a beautiful converted farm building in rural Derbyshire, we hand make vintage-inspired signs from reclaimed and up cycled wood and nostalgic enamel. Along side our range of handmade signs we have handpicked a selection of homewares to complete the 'Delightful' look. We currently sell online through our own website and through a selection of carefully selected retailers in independent gift shops and online.

We’re back from our little break by the sea and feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to welcome you back! 💛

And with September already flying by, we’re fully embracing autumn here at Delightful Living. 🍂 Our shelves and displays are filling with beautiful autumnal wreaths, cosy throws and cushions, seasonal decorations, garlands and twinkling lights.

And there’s something new in The Mews too - a fresh clothing drop in rich autumnal shades, including gorgeous cardigans, jumpers and jackets. 🍁

Our doors are open again tomorrow from 10.30am and we can’t wait to see you. ✨

What a weekend! 🎉🌸🎪

Yesterday’s Eyam Carnival was absolutely fabulous! The village was full of colour, music, laughter and carnival spirit, and it was wonderful to see so many of you enjoying everything this special place has to offer 🥳

We hope everyone who visited had a brilliant day - and a huge thank you to all the wonderful people who work so hard behind the scenes to make the carnival such a special event. ❤️

And now… we’re ready a little rest! 😊

After a very busy summer, we’re taking a short break this week. A few days to slow down, recharge the batteries and enjoy a little time away from the shop before we’re back to doing what we love.

So, Delightful Living will be closed this week, but we’ll be back behind the doors of our three delightful stores in Eyam Hall Courtyard at 10.30am on Saturday 12th September.

If you’re planning a trip to Eyam next weekend, come and see us, we’ll be rested, refreshed and ready to welcome you! 🥰

🎪 TODAY’S THE DAY - IT’S EYAM CARNIVAL! 🎪

Eyam comes alive today for one of the biggest days in the village calendar! 🎉

Starting at 11am, expect a day packed with entertainment, rides, games, music, stalls, the traditional Eyam sheeproast, colourful floats, fancy dress, bands… and, of course, the big carnival parade! 🥳🎺🎈

The village will be full of colour, music and a brilliant carnival atmosphere - and the weather forecast is looking pretty perfect too… SUNSHINE! ☀️

If you’re heading into Eyam today, we’d recommend getting here early. The main roads through the village will be closed from 2pm for the carnival parade, so come along and enjoy the village before the parade gets underway.

And while you’re here, make sure you come and see us in Eyam Hall Courtyard. The parade goes right past the courtyard entrance so you’ll get a great view! 🥳

Our three Delightful Living shops will be open for a bit of retail therapy - whether you’re looking for something beautiful for your home, a gift, a new outfit or just fancy a browse 🛍️

☕ Affogato Coffee Shop will be open serving freshly made coffee, delicious cakes and Italian gelato.

🍹 The Courtyard Bar will be open for drinks.

🍕 And there’ll be freshly made stone-baked pizzas being served up all day in the beautiful surroundings of Eyam Hall Courtyard.

So come for the carnival… and make a day of it in Eyam! ❤️

🐾 Meet the real Wilf… apparently! 🧬

When Wilf came to us, we were told he was 50% Greyhound and 50% Irish Wolfhound - and, looking at those long legs, scruffy coat and very handsome face, we could certainly believe it! 🥰

But after the haircut incident… when my phone confidently decided he was a Schnauzer and we laughed at the ridiculous suggestion… 😂 …we thought we’d settle the matter once and for all.

So we sent off his DNA 🧬

And the results are not quite what we expected! 👀

He’s actually 49% Greyhound, 15% Whippet and 14% Scottish Deerhound, with a sprinkling of four different Terriers, including 6% Giant Schnauzer!

So it turns out my phone deserves an apology 🤣

And the biggest surprise? There’s not a single percentage of Irish Wolfhound in him! It seems that his Scottish Deerhound ancestry is responsible for some of that very tall, wolfhound-ish look.

But honestly, whether he’s a Greyhound, a Wolfhound, a Schnauzer, a Whippet… or a wonderfully complicated combination of all of them, we really don’t care ❤️

We didn’t choose Wilf because of what breeds make up his DNA. We chose him because he needed a home, and somewhere along the way he completely stole ours and Loulou’s hearts ❤️

He’s gentle, funny, affectionate, a little bit bonkers and has fitted into our family as though he’s always been here 🐾

He’s just our Wilf. And we wouldn’t change a thing. 🥰

🎉 EYAM WAKES WEEK HAS BEGUN! 🎉

Eyam Wakes Week is officially underway! 💛

There’s a whole week of celebrations ahead, building up to the magnificent Eyam Carnival next Saturday - one of the highlights of the village calendar and something you really don’t want to miss! 🥳🤹‍♀️🎪

And if you’re heading to Eyam over the Bank Holiday Monday, we’d love to see you ✨ we will be OPEN Monday 10.30am–4.30pm ✨

Come and have a wander around our three Delightful stores, catch up with what’s new and soak up the Wakes Week atmosphere.

🌸 And don’t miss Eyam’s beautiful well dressings 🌼

Created by local residents as part of the Wakes Week celebrations, these incredible displays made from leaves, flowers, petals and seeds are one of the many reasons visitors return to Eyam at this time of year.

🍂 We’re also getting ready for the new season, with lots of Autumnal newness arriving in store - from cosy cushions and throws to garlands, gorgeous Autumn wreaths and plenty of lovely things to bring that warm, seasonal feeling into your home.

The weather forecast may be looking a little gloomy ☔️ but there’s always a warm welcome in Eyam 🥰

🌸 Wakes Week is coming to Eyam! 🌸

The bunting is up, the costumes are being made and the floats are being built… the village is buzzing and there’s a real sense of excitement as we get ready for Wakes Week - the biggest week in Eyam’s events calendar! 🥳

And this week, you can see the preparations well underway…

🌸 Petalling is in full swing at locations around the village. Come along, join the locals and have a go yourself! Petalling is a centuries-old tradition, where flower petals, leaves and seeds are used to create the beautiful village well dressings. It’s a wonderful way to get involved and be part of this very special Eyam tradition.

🏛️ Eyam Museum are running village tours and activities throughout the week - perfect if you’re visiting with the family. Find out more about what’s planned Eyam Village Museum

🎪 And then, from 29th August to 5th September, Eyam Wakes Week officially begins!

Expect a whole week packed with village traditions, celebrations and plenty to see and do:
