This coming weekend brings my first ever Open Studio as part of and I am so excited!

My husband and I spent time weeding the outside of the studio today to get it all looking nice and tidy and I was busy hanging more of my pieces up.

One of the items you’ll be able to see close up is my first ever macrame curtain which I finished last year. Still one of my all time favourite macrame pieces.

Which item of mine are you looking forward to seeing?

I am open this Saturday and Sunday, and the following Saturday and Sunday. I’ll have lots of items to see, crafts to try and refreshments for you 😍

Looking forward to seeing you!

I’ve just popped into the studio because it’s a new colour on the temperature wall hanging today so I had to come in to do that! I’ve just posted it in my stories for you to see.

I’ve also popped a poster with all the workshops I’ve got coming up in June in case anyone comes along for a nose. You can book all of these on my website now and links are in my stories.

I am finally switching off the business brain for now so I can properly get into holiday mode so I’ll say goodbye for now and I’ll see you in June!

Have the best weekend and half term week 🫶🏻

Hello there Baby Pink!!

This section on my Macrame Temperature Wall Hanging is looking goooood!!

Baby Pink represents temperature 20 to 21 degrees C and it’s only going up from here so I am excited because this is the highest temp we’ve had on the wall hanging so far, so that means new colours are coming!!!!

Who else is excited! 😜 🤣

I am so excited for this upcoming workshop in June!

I’ve been a bit rubbish lately at advertising my workshops, but I hope to have lots to offer this coming summer.

First of which is a beautiful collaboration between myself and .business where we will learn about gorgeous essential oils and pair that with a small beginner friendly macrame project which can be used as an oil diffuser.

I am very new to essential oils myself so I am excited to learn more about it!

If you would like to attend, you can book directly on Paige’s website and I’ll pop a link in my stories and in the comments below.

Hello lovely people in my phone 😂

A little FYI post this evening with a bit of a story. Apologies this may be a bit of a long read…

When I am working in my studio, I absolutely love having the sliding door wide open so I have lots of love fresh air coming in.

A couple of weeks ago I was in that exact position, working away on a wall hanging with the radio on and the door wide open, when a man came stumbling into my studio. He came staggering over to me shouting and hollering about hiding him from the police. He was tall and clearly under the influence of something and was very intimidating.

I tried to remain calm and kept him talking but he was having crazy mood swings, laughing manically at one point then getting angry and violent, he was swearing, shouting and hitting himself. I was really scared. I wanted to call the police but every time I went to do something on my phone he would start shouting again so I literally didn’t know what to do.

I managed to find out his name, and even his mums name, I told him I would call his mum but no one answered the number he gave me. Whilst I had the phone I managed to quickly send a message to my landlord who works in the building next door and thank goodness he came over straight away with a couple of his colleagues and they managed to get the guy out and he left.

Maybe not surprisingly, I was pretty shook up. I did file a police report online but never heard anything back 🤷‍♀️

Since then, I’ve thought I’ve been ok, but I kept finding excuses not to go into the studio; I was too tired, I had stuff to work on at home etc etc. on Monday I was all ready to go into the studio when I had a panic attack. I couldn’t understand why, until I spoke with my husband and he asked me if this guy had put me off going in and realised that it’s affected me more than I realised.

I’ll be damned if I let this episode stop me enjoying my studio, I’ve worked too hard to let it stop me, but I also need to feel safe and secure in my working environment.

So, going forward, when I am there I will be locking the door sadly. I do have a door bell that you can ring for attention, but until I feel comfortable again, I think this has to be how it is for now.

Thank you if you’ve read the whole thing, please know you are still welcome at the studio any time, and if anything the company would be really appreciated!

This is “Stormy Seas” a macraweave wall hanging.

Macraweave is a mix of macrame and weaving to create beautifully textured pieces.

I made this wall hanging back in 2021 so it is now one of my older pieces. It hangs proudly in my studio waiting to find its forever home!

I have used blue tones inspired by the sea, and I love it!

I have recently started working on a new macraweave, which is still in its early stages but I’m excited to see how it turns out.
