Some cakes don’t need bright colours to make a statement… this one lets the details do all the talking.

This sleek black buttercream cake was created for Simon’s 30th birthday, finished with luxurious gold accents, modern fan details and stylish decorative spheres for a contemporary, elegant look. Topped with a bold gold acrylic “30” topper and personalised with his name, it’s a design that’s simple, sophisticated and perfect for marking a milestone birthday.

I absolutely loved creating this one and seeing it all come together.

This tropical beauty went out this week, inspired by the sea, sandy shores and adventure. Featuring soft ocean waves, handcrafted edible seashells, tropical leaves and flowers, finished with a beach-effect top and a stunning island-inspired topper, it was such a fun cake to create! 🩵

Some cakes are extra special to make, and this was definitely one of them. 💕

Today we celebrate my wonderful sister-in-law, Leandra, who means so much to our family. I wanted to create something elegant, feminine and full of all the little details she loves… soft blush pink, touches of gold, beautiful florals and, of course, a little bottle of rosé to complete the celebration. 🥂🌸

Seeing the smiles these cakes bring is exactly why I love what I do. Being trusted to create a centrepiece for such important moments is something I’ll never take for granted.

🤍 Braunton Cake Shed Update 🤍

Today our Braunton Cake Shed will be closed while I’m busy in the kitchen preparing for Green Man Festival this Saturday! 🍰✨

Rather than stretching myself too thin, I’d much rather take today to make sure every bake leaving my kitchen is up to the quality you’ve come to expect from Burrington’s Little Bakery. 💕

The good news is we’ll be back open tomorrow morning and right through the weekend, fully stocked with all your favourites… plus a few brand new flavours that I can’t wait for you to try! 😍

If you’re heading to Green Man Festival, come and say hello – we’d love to see you! And if you can’t make it to the festival, don’t worry… your favourite bakes will still be waiting for you in the Braunton Cake Shed. 🧁

To celebrate Burrington’s Little Bakery attending Green Man Festival this Saturday, we’re giving one lucky winner the chance to take home what I think is a truly special prize! 💕

The hamper itself is absolutely beautiful and a prize in its own right…

🧺 A high-quality traditional wicker shopping basket with a sturdy carry handle and a charming split-opening lid. Inside, it’s lined with a gorgeous red and white checked linen fabric, making it perfect for picnics, shopping trips, days at the beach or simply using around the home. This Saturday, Burrington’s Little Bakery will be bringing a little slice of our bakery to the Green Man Festival, and I honestly can’t wait!

I’ve been working behind the scenes all week baking, decorating and creating what I think is going to be one of our biggest and most exciting displays yet. 💕

🍒 A little bit of home, baked into next week’s menu… 🍒

This afternoon we spent some precious family time in the garden harvesting the most beautiful, sweet cherries from our own cherry tree. ❤️

Seeing George and Sophia helping to pick them (with lots of smiles along the way!) reminded me why I started Burrington’s Little Bakery in the first place – creating something special from the simple moments that matter most.

So… next week I think it’s only right that these gorgeous homegrown cherries inspire some limited edition cherry bakes for the cake sheds. 🍰✨

I’m already dreaming up some delicious ideas…
