Rolo loves this walk too!
🐾 Coastal Magic, Wildflowers and Dolphin Spotting! 🌸🐬
This section of the Anglesey coastal path from Moelfre to Lligwy is one of those walks that packs a lot into just two miles. It’s an easy route with varied scenery - pretty wildflowers, rugged coastline, little beaches and a row of traditional fishermen’s cottages overlooking the sea… and if you keep your eyes on the water, you might even spot dolphins or porpoises along the way! 🐬
Ted loves this for the combination of coastal exploring and plenty of sniffing opportunities… and if you’re looking for a longer walk, you can continue along the coast path beyond Lligwy towards Traeth yr Ora - a much quieter and secluded little bay that you might just get all to yourself! 🩵
And when you’ve finished exploring, Moelfre has a couple of great dog-friendly dining options, with Ann’s pantry (Ted’s favourite 🤩) and the Kimnel Arms both welcoming four-legged explorers!
ℹ️ All three beaches (Moelfre, Lligwy and Traeth yr Ora) are dog-friendly year round with no restrictions. Note that there is a temporary diversion in place on the coast path from Lligwy to Traeth yr Ora so you’ll need to follow the signed diversion around the landslide section at Lligwy
🅿️ There’s free parking in the centre of Moelfre village at what3words: ///myths.jumpy.exacts
