At Sew Confident, we teach a comprehensive range of sewing classes for all abilities. (We do not provide an alterations service, sorry!)

Our classes are structured and designed to build confidence, and teach all the necessary sewing skills in a bite size session! We pride ourselves on providing fun, friendly learning environments with a big emphasis on the social side. We have franchises in Dunde

e and Chorley too! We also sell Elna and Janome sewing machines and other supplies. We can recommend a place to get your sewing machines serviced, but we do not offer this as a service. For more information visit www.sewconfident.co.uk

It’s Friday and we’ve been away for a while but we are back and with some summer fabrics we all think need to be in your sewing stash ready to sew up this summer.

Broderie Anglaise (not on glaze 👀😂) is for everyone, beginners, intermediates and advanced sewists! This is a beautiful cool, light and breathable fabric with some bold prints that we would only wear in summer…am I right?!

Double Gauze, in stunning bold floral prints that is probably more suited to an intermediate sewer because of its layers. Perfect for a co-ord set of floaty oversized beach cover up…yes please.

I wish I knew sooner that sewing on your own is NOTHING compared to sewing with other people.

There’s just something about being surrounded by people who completely get it. People who understand the excitement of finishing a project, the frustration of unpicking a seam for the third time, the joy of finding the perfect fabric, and why talking about sewing for hours somehow never gets boring.

You swap tips, share sewing wins, help each other out, chat about projects, life, fabrics, patterns and honestly… just have the best day.

And that’s exactly why our Big Sewcials are so special.

A full day dedicated entirely to sewing your way. Bring your newest project, your oldest UFO, the garment that’s been sitting half finished for 6 months or the pattern you’ve been too scared to start. Set yourself up in the studio, sew at your own pace, enjoy lunch together and then get straight back to creating.

It’s relaxed, inspiring, welcoming and genuinely one of our favourite days in the studio
