Friend Lanarkshire is hosting the Divergent Engineers Bazaar at Sumerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life in Coatbridge on Saturday, 5 September and Sunday, 6 September - and it's shaping up to be an incredible day!

We're unfortunately unable to make the event, but we're wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and we can't wait to hear all about it.

Friend Autism Scotland is hosting The Divergent Engineers Bazaar at Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, Coatbridge. ML5 1QD. It is on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2026. It is a free event and there will be traders and charities present at the event. All welcome.

It’s only been a few weeks since we closed the Mecoco workshop in Dalry to get ready for our big move to new premises — and we miss everyone already.

We’re missing the chat, the banter, the nonsense, the endless tea and biscuits… but most of all, we’re missing these amazing faces. Our incredible volunteers, support workers, parents and carers are what make Mecoco so special every single day.

We’re so proud to be home to one of the most diverse and welcoming workplaces in Scotland — it really is something unique.

This isn’t goodbye for long, though! We’ll be getting together soon for some fun social activities that everyone can be part of, and we can’t wait to catch up with you all again.

Another fantastic sales weekend for Mecoco at The Market at Solsgirth Home Farm on our very first visit!

We were set up in The Byre (with the cows kindly making way for us) - such a beautiful space with amazing natural light, brilliant fellow traders, and a lovely atmosphere from start to finish. This is definitely a market worth visiting — from petting lambs and kids’ activities to woodworking demonstrations, fresh farm produce, and so many talented local businesses selling unique handmade products.

One thing is becoming very clear… no matter how much stock we bring, we always sell out of our On Cloud Nine (Lemongrass & Ginger) soy wax melts (https://ow.ly/L48f50YXqHE)! Our Scented Wax Melt Sample Boxes (https://ow.ly/SH5O50YXqHC) were another big hit too. With every Mecoco scent included, they’re perfect for anyone who can’t pick just one favourite.

We were also delighted by the response to the beautiful artwork created by the talented artists we support at Sense Scotland. Following the success of the “Journeys” exhibition at Trongate 103, we’ll be expanding the range available soon.

We’re taking a break from markets over the next two weeks while we get our temporary workshop set up in the Arts department at TouchBase Glasgow — ready to restock and get making again! But you can still order your favourites online, and we will post them out to you.

Remember: every purchase you make supports inclusion and equality, recognising and celebrating the creativity and abilities of people with complex disabilities and communication support needs.

Workshop update 📣

Our Dalry workshop is now closed as we get ready to move into a new home. Don’t worry — we’re not going far! We’ll share more details with you very soon.

In the meantime, we’re sorry to those of you who enjoyed popping in to shop or collect orders in person — we’ll miss seeing you!

Good news, though: you can still order online as usual, and we’ll happily post everything out to you. Simply visit mecoco.org as usual.

Spring has sprung, and Scottish Bluebell - our bluebell, sweet rose, and jasmine scent - has never been more popular ☀️

This scent is exclusive to markets and Sense Scotland charity shops, and we'll be selling our candles and wax melts this weekend at The Market at Solsgirth Home Farm.

Come along and grab yourself a goodie - but be quick, as they sold out last weekend in Oban!

This weekend marks our first time at The Market at Solsgirth Home Farm - and we couldn't be more excited!

The May bank holiday meant only one thing for Mecoco - a road trip to Oban, for Oban Winter Festival's Oban Distillery Summer Market. And what a weekend it turned out to be!

Our Scottish Bluebell scent absolutely stole the show. Everywhere we looked, those beautiful bluebells were in full bloom — along roadsides, through forests, across lochs and glens — and visitors couldn’t get enough of that fresh, outdoorsy fragrance. Safe to say… we SOLD OUT of melts!

We originally created Scottish Bluebell for visitors to Scotland, stocking it in our tourist hotspot charity shops in St Andrews, Peebles, Blairgowrie and Ocean Terminal — so it’s no surprise it was such a hit in Oban too!

Even better? Mecoco is going global! Customers from India, France and the USA all fell in love with our scents and our story.

And it wasn’t just Scottish Bluebells flying off the shelves… we also sold out of Seventh Heaven, Sunny Side Up, If the Shoe Fits, and Shrinking Violet melts! The only one missing in action? Bless Your Cotton Socks… purely because we forgot to pack them. Oops!
