Honour the dead, this Muntjac Deer Skull is the remains from ‘roadkill’.
Muntjac, a short, stocky deer, was brought over to south east England from China in the early twentieth century. Many escaped or were released so feral communities have sprang up all over England, Wales and southern Scotland.
Muntjacs are sandy coloured beasts, usually solitary and the live on nuts and berries.
It is good to know that this little creature has been given respect and will become part of someone’s ritual/altar.
This skull is probably male (the females lack antlers) and has been electroplated using recycled copper pipes and a piece of agate rests on the third eye.
