Wood is starting to arrive at the farm and will be soon be turned into firewood, it will spend a short time in the drier then left to finish off seasoning in a shed.This batch is a mix of Silver Birch and Ash. As our next batch of wood nears its ready to burn moisture level i want to let you know that we are starting to stock smokeless coal. It does compliment burning of wood well in multifuel woodburners. Been a cold day today! Ive just got the next batch of wood in the dryer. It should be ready to burn in 2 weeks. I hope you've all had a relaxing time of it. The next batch of our kiln dried firewood is all tucked up in the drier. It will stay here under this special breathable felt which lets moisture out but keeps heat in for the next 12/13 days.
