We love recommending a book as much as we love reading them, and are always looking for people who might end up loving our favourite books just as much as we do. We are booksellers, recommending books is what we do best!

Looking for the perfect way to spend a Tuesday morning and keep the little ones occupied? Well look no further!

Every Tuesday at 10:30am David hosts a Storytime here at The Reading Room in our reading corner, where he reads a few different stories for and your little ones to enjoy. It is free of charge, and no need to book, just pop down when you have the chance.

Through these story times we hope to keep children’s reading alive, and help make books a more exciting and immersive experience for the young mind. There is no greater love than the love of books. We can’t wait to see you there!

We had a lovely time at The Booksellers Association Conference the last few days and couldn’t help but bring *almost* everything we could home with us!

On Sunday we attended the trade show where we picked up many of our goodies, we got to hear from publishers about their upcoming releases and there are some absolutely fantastic books coming up over the next few months!

On Monday we attended skills labs on all things bookselling, learning more about our trade to keep bringing you the best possible versions of ourselves for The Reading Room. We also met loads of our fellow booksellers from across the country and had the opportunity to hear from some incredible authors including Robert Harris, A. F. Steadman, and Ann Cleaves.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to see what next year brings!

What better place to spend your money?

We wouldn’t be here without every customer that comes through our doors and we are so grateful to everyone who buys a book, attends an event, or pops in for a coffee. 🤍
