Slash’s 84 BC Rich mockingbird with à Floyd conversion has always been my dream guitar.
I have an American BCR SL in blue but the cut just isn’t right. So I decided to build my own.
Nearly finished. Just waiting on some switches and strap pins and she’ll get wired up.
This one is for me and will not be sold so I stuck an “R” in it.

So she’s finally put together.
This one is a bit special.
Brazilian mahogany neck through with walnut stringers and Honduras mahogany wings all topped off with a stunning walnut top.

Gloss lacquer on the top and oiled back and sides so this one can breathe.

Black bound rosewood fretboard with a single crows skull inlay in mother of pearl and copper.

The side dots are also copper as is the hand made inlay “C” on the headstock.

The nut is hand cut black bone.

The tailpiece, back plate and jack plate are all hand made from copper and aged. They will continue to age further.

All hardware is Gotoh in Cosmo black,
CTS pots and a monstrous Dimarzio X2N.

This is a 25.5 inch scale length for those who want the heavier strings and lower tunings for stability.

My wife is not a fan of extreme shapes but she says this is her favourite that I have made.

This one is beautiful and needs to be played.

So back on it slowly this week after a broken rib last week.
Here’s a sneak peak of what I think could be the most monstrous yet beautiful V there is. Can’t show you too much as I don’t think people can handle it!! And I don’t want people to have to verify their age just to see it 😜
This one will be available in a couple of weeks. If interested then please get in touch.
