I am going to Ellie for my nails doing this morning and I have not decided what I want yet.

For nearly two years she has put up with me rolling in with a chaos of inspiration photos and bespoke ideas, and not once has she made me feel bad about it, she has never once said no to me. Never made me feel like the chaos I absolutely am, she just always finds a way to make it work. No fuss, no sighing, just gets on with it.

That kind of calm, accommodating nature is worth its weight.

I genuinely think she deserves a medal, and also a shout out.

Right, today's the day I finally sit down and make a start on something I've been putting off for ages.

Personalised celebration cards for different jobs and job titles. I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while and I'm actually doing it today.

I want to make sure I cover as many professions as possible so nobody feels left out when they're looking for something for a colleague or a friend.

Make your elf’s arrival a little more magical with a story about their journey from the North Pole to your home.

Follow their adventure as Father Christmas hands over their travel documents, they climb aboard a Christmas plane and a magical golden star helps them find the right house. There’s a little mischief along the way too, of course!

Leave the kit beside your elf for the children to discover, then read the story together with the passport and boarding pass from their journey. A lovely little Christmas keepsake to bring out again.

Aldi have done it again and I am not surprised.

Found a new chocolate bar in there that I wasn't expecting at all. Caramac vibes but thicker, with popcorn and pretzels stuffed inside. It's proper good.

I love sharing these finds because honestly half my best discoveries come from a nosy wander round that shop.

I'm trying to feel every second of this week.

Every cup of tea together. Every conversation that goes on too long. Every time she wanders into whatever room I'm in, just because.

Because on Sunday she goes to Uni. Her next chapter. And she is so ready for it.

I'm the one who isn't.

I know this is a good thing. I know it's everything we worked towards. But knowing that doesn't stop the ache, does it.
