For those who have been here a while you’ll recall the old bauble wreaths. So I trying to use up craft supplies and found 6 blanks and thought why not for now, so I ordered some baubles (yes I know that’s not the point) and spent this afternoon making these. There are a few hot glue gun burns (we will not talk about those) as I got a new larger gun…

Each year at work I make some Christmas gifts for colleagues to have and, you know, sharing the love of crochet. I try and use stash yarn and leftover previous materials and scraps. First year I made scrubbies/washcloths, second year Christmas pudding baubles, third year more baubles but with vinyl themes and super chunky stockings, this year I have so far some tote bags and now some cactii, I’ll also be making some baubles and maybe some wreaths as I have materials to use up. Pattern mostly winged to be frank yarn mix of Scheepjes catona and cahlista, Ricorumi dk including that cute fluffy yarn (just 👌) Stylecraft for the brown earthy colours and the buckets and cups from@so@long ago I can mint recall!

Such an exciting day. I have just got hone from the workshop Crochet Camp, Yorkshire where we made hanging lanterns! So I can finally share this photo with you…..Designed by me!!!! It is always so lovely to sit with people who share your passion and talk about the same things. Honestly the best time and I feel so lucky to have met such a lovely bunch of people. Stationery Geek, Quirky & Inclusive Stationery did an AMAZING job of pulling it all together and the staff at The Cud Life were so generous and kind (and wonderful cakes)

Sooo all my odd balls of scraps rolled out for 5g little bundles, for a new scrappy project. I need 55 different colours and I have 44… so do I fill the gaps with a cream at the ends? I can’t really buy more yarn can I??? Can I??? No…. Maybe…. No….. I’ll have to dig in the boxes first just in case I’ve missed one or 11 🫣😊😆

Countdown to the 4th September and start of the weekend. There are day tickets left and both the lovely Lux Louvain and I are heading sessions. Very excited and you need to come as I’m driving around with A LOT of yarn in my boot….. save me!
