took the flip out stereo to the next level with this one!

This is the Kenwood KDC-PSW9524 and it was a statement piece for sure! It featured 5V pre-outs, a futuristic full dot-matrix display and of course, the double flip out mechanism!

It’s finally time for a change at Car Audio & Security!

After spending over five years up on the mezzanine, Raj finally brings down the VW Golf GTI 16V and Peugeot 205 GTI, but getting two cars down is certainly not as simple as driving them out!

With a forklift brought in, plenty of helping hands and more than a few nervous faces, we carefully begin the process of getting both cars safely back down to ground level.

But that’s only half the job…

Taking their place are two proper hot-hatch legends: Raj’s Renault 5 GT Turbo and Ford Es**rt Series 1 RS Turbo.

Getting them up onto the mezzanine proves just as nerve-racking, with very little room for error and everyone keeping a close eye on the cars as they’re lifted into position.

Four classic hot hatches, one forklift and a lot of nervous people, what could possibly go wrong?!

Pioneer are taking us back, once again, with their brand new retro-inspired shelf speakers, the TSX40SXT! These are a 3-way shelf speaker containing a 5” Woofer, a 2” Midrange and a Tweeter! We’ve tried and tested these and we can definitely vouch for them!

In this video, Raj finally gets around to upgrading the audio system in his Ferrari 355 GTS.

Now, some would argue that a Ferrari 355 doesn’t need an audio upgrade at all, especially when its real soundtrack comes from one of the best-sounding V8 engines ever made! 🇮🇹🔥

But in the modern world, can you improve the sound, add Apple CarPlay and bring the system up to date without compromising the classic looks and aesthetics of the 355’s interior?

That’s exactly what we set out to achieve.

We look at a couple of different options for the source unit before putting together a high-quality yet surprisingly affordable audio upgrade. We also tackle one of the biggest challenges with the 355’s compact cabin, how to add some much-needed bass without taking up valuable space or spoiling the interior.

The end result is a discreet, modern audio system that delivers a serious improvement in sound quality while remaining sympathetic to one of Ferrari’s most iconic interiors.
