…and 6 hours later after a flattening cycle and an ultrasonic cleaning, this is the result.

Now to reunite the album with its forever owner.

I’ve been looking for Gary Numan album for one of our regular supporters Kitt Kershaw for ages and I’ve still not been able to find one, Kitt does take the opportunity to remind me of this at every fair.

We always make time for a chat and at our Camborne fair Kitt mentioned to me that she had acquired an album that was part of an auction lot.

The album, The Damned - Strawberries (an album with meaning) sadly had a “Savage” warp and was unplayable.

I suggested I might be able to help but no guarantees and Kitt brought the album to me on Sunday at my Mason Pop Up Shop.

This is a short video of how the album looked before it was initially cleaned….

Its only a few more days until 2026 gets started for the Saltash Record and CD Fair

I've been invited back and I'm happy to support the Saltash Record and CD Fair on Saturday 20th June.

Loads of great vinyl and CDs available from the sellers on the day.

I'll be bringing new (sealed) and used vinyl and a selection of CD's as well.

It's at the usual venue, Methodist Church, Callington Road PL12 6LA from 9am to 3pm.

We'll definitely have some chilled tunes to play (and to sell) on Sunday at Mason Brewing Co and we've also got some dance, trance and house for that less relaxed vibe.

We'll just play whatever we feel like on the day.

Find a 12 inch single, want us to play it, just ask and we'll do our best to oblige.

Just sorting through some boxes and I’ve started adding some 12’s to the “playlist” for Sunday at Mason Brewing Co

There will be no beat matching or looping, it’ll purely be freestyling.

Up next, we’re back at Mason Brewing Co continuing to sell a huge collection of ex-DJ records. Following the theme of our first few events we will have a turntable with us, courtesy of Lee Hall and we’ll be freestyling 12’s from the for sale boxes, so expect some ‘eclectic’ sounds.

An awesome location to browse, buy records and have a beer as well.

The vast majority of records for sale are unique to this event and are different to my usual Cornwall Record Fairs stock.

25% off all 12-inch singles.

Genres include Soul, Funk, Hip hop, Downtempo, Electronic, Hard House, Dance, Trance, Pop, Reggae etc. and there will be White Labels, Promos and DJ Releases as well. Only one copy of each so first come first served.

I’ll have a selection of LP’s and 7-inch singles as well.

That's a wrap for yet another very successful "Cornwall Weekender".

Thank you to everyone that braved the weather at Newquay on Saturday and came along to our first Camborne Fair on Sunday.

Thanks also to Krista, Gillan and the team at Project 83 for their hospitality (and bloomin' awesome breakfast) and to Lee Hall for all his help setting up and running the Camborne Fair on Sunday.

We're back at Project 83 on 22nd August and seeing if we can squeeze some more Camborne events in to the schedule this year.
