This is going to be the prettiest of pendants. Beautiful interesting stone to start with, always good. Then we have the lovely oval shape that I’m using horizontally. Then I have included little discs within the hooped bail that echoes the oval stone and placed them off centre to give movement and direction. Lots of cleaning and polishing to do now. Do you like the look of this piece so far ?

I’ve just been told pearls are very much back in. Excellent ! Apparently the youngsters are loving them. A single strand close to the neck or layers and layers of pearls are the thing. I’ve always loved pearls especially with a crisp white shirt and jeans. How would you wear your pearls ?

I love this pendant. The stone, an obsidian, Is deliciously dark with a beautiful sheen when the light catches it right. But that cord is too thin ! Do you agree ?

When making your bezel setting for a beautiful stone you want a good fit otherwise the stone will not be secure and it will jiggle around. Not good. If when you pick it up and the stone stays put you’ve got it nice and snug. Huzzah !

Red or green ? At school we are taught red and green are opposites because of where they sit of the colour wheel. But does that mean they compliment each other or clash with each other ? To me they clash but also kind of work together too. Would you wear the two colours together ?
