For our last show before Christmas we are off to the Woolwich Model Railway Show organised by Model Railway Quest. We are expecting 19 fully scenic layouts, trade stands, demos, cafe and with free off site parking around the venue. Pre purchased ticket holders gain access from 9.45am (15 mins before official opening).

New in from Heljan is the fabulous O gauge Ruston and Hornsby 48DS shunter. This tiny loco is available with both open and closed cabs and I am sure will find a home on most layouts. With its diminutive size many of you will be sketching out layouts that really put the *minimum* in minimum space. Available from stock now

This weekend we are off to the Gravesend Railway Ensuthiasts Society's annual Model Railway Exhibition in Northfleet. Lots of layouts and other exhibits to look at this well established friendly show.

This Saturday we are off the the G Scale Society Kent Group G Scale Model Railway Show. They have the biggest venue they have ever used and so are putting on good show. If you have an interest in garden railways this is a good place to come to learn more, have a friendly chat and drink tea !

Next weekend we are off to the Folkestone, Hythe snd District Model Railway Club's 52nd Model Railway Exhibiton. There is a great selection of layouts spread throughout the Leas Cliff Halls. We will be in our ususal position in the Channel Suite with amazing views across the Channel with France visible if the weather is good. If you would like anything brought down for collection please get in touch by Thursday lunchtime.

LGB's Winter 2025 Announcements have recently been made and one item was put in to tease everybody. We can now reveal that 28448 is Ge 4/4 II 626 in the Pullman blue livery unveiled by the RhB a few days ago. I guess we should have guessed the livery with the re-runs of the coaches and baggage cars announced with it !

Model Railway Weekend - Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September!

It's that time again where the miniature trains take over the Spa Valley Railway and this year one group has set themselves a challenge to build a Model Railway in a weekend...

Owen Hayward and Team have set themselves the challenge of building a model railway from nothing in just one weekend, sharing their process and modelling tips throughout as they learn.

They're not only doing this because they're ambitious... they're raising money for Mind Mental Health Charity.
