This is the completed peg loom rug which measures approx 70cm x 75cm using Ramsey's fleece. Ramsey is a Castlemilk Moorit🐏. I am presently photographing items so they can all be seen on my Etsy page. (Not yet live) I am not very savvy with social media and the like for promoting my crafts, and it's all very new to me. This journey would not have been possible without the help of my gorgeous daughters. Every day is a school day 😊

No fleece left for my peg loom rug which I have to have completed by Friday. This fleece is Ramsey's which I am working on. As you can see by the fleece there is no way I could use this for a living felted rug but it's ideal for the peg loom. I am going to try a living fleece on Lambert's though.

It has been raining all day so thank goodness we did put the Gazebo up yesterday. All the boys were nice and dry and quite chilled. This is Twinkle, Ramsey and Lambert getting the works. They were very good and no nonsense from any of them. Lambert had a little bit of an attitude post sheer with Bear but it didn't last. All done for another year.

We are preparing the boys for their sheering tomorrow. This is the first stage putting the hurdles up and reducing the area so we aren't running around the paddock trying to catch them. Don't believe anyone when they say sheep are stupid .....they aren't 😃 as they are certainly wise to us. The weather forecast is rain tomorrow so what we have done in previous years, and it has worked very well, is put the Gazebo up so the boys remain dry. There are shelters in the paddocks but they are only suitable for the boys. Not tall enough for us. Will post next stage later.

The sun was shining so I grabbed the opportunity to wash (no chemicals used in this process) the discarded bits that I had taken off the fleece that I am presently felting.
I can't use all the fleece due to the fact there is too much vegetation ie hay, grass, poo, just mucky stuff.
When it's all dry the fleece will be used for my laundry balls. I also make scented hearts filled with rose scent buckwheat and instead of toy stuffing I use this wool. Unfortunately, I haven't been successful with the felting of Castlemillk Moorits fleece so I use. the peg loom and make door mats. I might just have to give it a go using the Hebridean wool too.🤔
