How IHAMORA started.

The short answer is that it began with rediscovering art.

I’d forgotten that I always loved creating patterns and artwork, and rediscovering this love gave me an opportunity to fix a problem I couldn’t find in activewear that felt like an expression of individuality while still performing well.

And so IHAMORA was born!

Every IHAMORA print starts life as an original piece of artwork before being developed into activewear designed for women who want something a little different.

What started as a creative idea has grown into a brand built around movement, confidence and self-expression.

And we’re only just getting started.

I realised that I spend a lot of time talking about IHAMORA, but not much time talking about the person behind it.

So I thought I’d change that.

Over the next few videos, I’ll be answering some questions my daughter came up with about being an artist, running a business, creating activewear, and how IHAMORA came to be.

For anyone new here, I’m Tope; artist, founder of IHAMORA, NHS Quality Improvement Advisor , strength-training enthusiast, mum, wife, daughter, friend…

Really excited to be returning to World of Triathlon LIVE for 2027 🙌🏾 ❤️

We’re excited to showcase the brands already back on board for the 2nd edition of World of Triathlon LIVE on 10–11 April 2027.

As part of our ‘Welcome Back’ campaign, we gathered their feedback, here’s what IHAMORA had to say…

"Exhibiting at the inaugural World of Triathlon Live was honestly such a great experience for IHAMORA 😊

It was so good to be part of an event bringing all things triathlon together under one roof, and you could really feel the energy and passion from the people there across the whole weekend.

One of the best parts for me was meeting other female founders and independent brands carving out their space in the sporting industry. Having those conversations, sharing experiences, and realising we’re not alone in this journey was genuinely reassuring and inspiring.

I also loved meeting so many triathletes, runners, and people wanting to get into movement and sport. Being around people pushing themselves, trying new things, and supporting each other was really special.

And honestly, seeing women connect with IHAMORA and react to the pieces the way they did was such a highlight for me ❤️

A huge well done to Stuart Walker and the World of Triathlon Media Limited team for putting together such a brilliant event. You brought the tri community together so well, especially for a first event.

Some pieces just spoke for themselves...and seeing what you were drawn to in real life was really good to see!

1. Saber leggings - always so good to see people’s responses to this print! 😊 I actually lost count how many men actually loved this and asked if we did menswear! - so watch this space for something special soon! 👀

2. Bamboo shorts - and yes… no rolling, no chafing!!

3. The Head leggings, - a lovely lady told me “I saw your print from across the hall and had to come over!” 🤗

4. The windbreakers… they didn’t stay on the rail for long! All print styles sold out, new stock coming very soon!! 🥰

What you didn’t see before we got there…

The planning, the packing, the early starts, the late finishes, the building and setting the scene, the “did I bring everything?” and the “where is best to put this?” and “oh no I forgot my battery pack!” moments! 🫣

And then somehow… it all came together! 🤗🙏🏾

IHAMORA is about everything that goes into getting it there than just what you see on the rail! And I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

The inaugural event bringing all things tri together under one roof… and it was so good to be part of it!

It was great to meet other female founders making and carving their space in the sporting industry. So good to talk, share experiences, and honestly just reassuring to know we’re not alone in this
Great to see and meet the other brands in this space too!

I truly had an amazing time 🤗

Thank you to all the wonderful people doing amazing things who stopped by. And to all the lovely ladies who bought a little piece of IHAMORA, I really hope your items bring you as much joy as I had seeing your reactions to them 🥰

Kudos to all the triathletes, and the trying-to-be triathletes. Just being around people pushing themselves and wanting to move, it was inspiring. Such a warm, enthusiastic energy all round 😊

And a big well done to the .worldoftriathlon.live and team for putting together such an amazing event and bringing all things tri together in one space 👏🏾 🙌🏽 🥳
