Let’s talk bags.

Bags are something we’ve always put off a bit.

Mainly because we didn’t want to just stick a REISTO logo on another generic holdall. We wanted something practical, strong and, well… a bit more REISTO different 😁

So over the winter we’re going to be prototyping and testing a few ideas, and at the moment we’re leaning towards a rucksack-style shooting bag rather than the usual holdall.

We’re thinking plenty of storage, easy-access pockets, proper space for cartridges and kit, comfortable straps, tough materials and something that actually works when you’re carrying it around a ground all day.

One thing to be clear on, because we know they’re popular… we love the seat bags too, but we won’t be making one initially. For now, it’ll just be bags, no built-in seat I’m afraid 😁

But before we get too carried away…

What makes the perfect shooting bag for you?

Rucksack or holdall?

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Beretta Gold Cup UK this week! 🟠

It looks set to be a brilliant event, with some fantastic shooting and plenty of competition. Whether you’re chasing the top spot or simply looking forward to getting out there and enjoying it, shoot well and have a great time.

A small problem, but one that’s annoyed me for years 😂

I often wear overhead ear defenders when shooting, and the top button on most caps always ends up digging into my head. A lot of caps also sit too low and catch the tops of your ears.

So, mainly to solve my own personal annoyances, we’ve made 25 Reisto caps with no top button, a slightly shorter crown and a simple Velcro back strap. We’re just waiting for the embroidery to be completed.

We’ve started with olive and black to match our new gilet. If they go well, we’ll look at some different colour combinations.

Things don’t need to be complicated. No top button, no more dent in your head. Simples 👌🏼

🌿 INTRODUCING THE REISTO®️ FIELDWORKS SOFTSHELL SHOOTING GILET

Our new Fieldworks Shooting Gilet is now available as part of a limited first production run.
The response has already been incredible. Everyone who has seen us wearing the prototypes seemed to want one, and a handful have already gone out in today’s post before we’ve even properly announced the release!

Made from water-resistant softshell with reinforced shoulder panels, large cartridge pockets, fleece-lined handwarmer pockets and secure internal storage, it’s a practical modern gilet that works just as well on the clay ground as it does in the field.
Stock is limited, with sizes Medium and 6XL expected to arrive next week.

This gilet is very much part of the direction we are taking REISTO®️, creating genuinely practical, modern shooting clothing that looks at home both in the field and on the clay ground.

There is plenty more to come. Watch this space.

REISTO has made it onto Emmerdale! 😂

Okay, the logos might have mysteriously disappeared for TV 👀😂 — but we know a REISTO vest when we see one!

WHAT. A. YEAR. 😂🙌

We’ve had a few surreal REISTO moments this year… but this one might be right up there.

First, a REISTO vest was worn by the current British S***t Champion while taking a smashing victory at the British Open. 🏆💥
And now…

We’ve made it onto the big screen too. Well… the telly screen at least. 😂📺

If you’re a watcher of Emmerdale (If you’re not, why not), you may spot a few rather familiar looking shooting vests being worn by the cast this week (we are told it will be on Tuesday's episode)…

Yep. They’re REISTO. 😎

Sadly, TV rules mean our logos had to be covered up which absolutely pains us because we’d have quite happily had a six-foot REISTO banner hanging across the Woolpack if they’d let us. 😂

But branded or not, seeing something we designed and sell here at REISTO suddenly turn up on an ITV programme on British television is pretty cool.

From the British S***t Championship podium to Emmerdale on ITV…

Not bad for a little father-and-son shooting brand from Surrey. ❤️

We genuinely never know what’s going to happen next.

Huge congratulations to both of our Team Reisto shooters who absolutely smashed it today at the British Open S***t Championship! 🎉🏆

🥉 Jake Burton shot brilliantly to take 3rd Place in the C**t category - a fantastic achievement.

🥇 And what can we say about Mark Chesson… absolutely unbelievable! After hitting his 107th consecutive 100 straight yesterday,today he held his nerve through a tough shoot-off with some serious contenders to become the 2026 British Open S***t Champion! 💪🔥

We genuinely couldn’t be happier for both of them. We know just how much this meant, the countless hours of practice and the dedication it takes to reach this level. Seeing all that hard work pay off is one of those proud parent moments for us.

Go and enjoy it, lads - you’ve both earned every bit of it.

Go Team Reisto! 💙🩶

Can you believe it’s August tomorrow?! Where has this year gone? 😳

Nearly the weekend… and it looks like the British “heatwave” has finally remembered it’s actually in Britain. 🌤️😅

A few degrees cooler should make for a much more comfortable day on the ground.

Who’s shooting this weekend, and where are you heading? Any registered shoots, club competitions, sim day or just a few rounds with friends?
