3-Month Warranty

All reconditioned bicycles sold by D & S Cycles are supplied with a 3-month warranty covering defects in the workmanship carried out by D & S Cycles and faults with parts that we have fitted as part of the reconditioning process, subject to the terms below.

Every bicycle is professionally checked, serviced and safety inspected before being sold.

What the warranty covers

The warranty covers faults arising from our reconditioning work or from defective parts fitted by D & S Cycles during the reconditioning process.

If a covered fault occurs, please contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the bicycle and, where appropriate, repair the fault or replace the faulty part.

What the warranty does not cover

The warranty does not cover:

- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by an accident, crash or impact.
- Misuse, abuse or use for a purpose for which the bicycle is not designed.
- Damage caused by neglect or failure to maintain the bicycle.
- Damage caused by incorrect adjustment, alteration or modification after purchase.
- Damage caused by accessories or components fitted after purchase.
- Damage resulting from incorrect assembly where the bicycle has been dismantled or reassembled after collection.
- Punctures, worn tyres, brake pads, chains, cables, grips, saddles or other consumable/wear items, unless a specific defect is present.
- Damage caused by continued use after a fault has become apparent.

Collection and assembly

Bicycles sold by D & S Cycles are supplied fully assembled, serviced and safety checked.

Customers should not dismantle or substantially alter the bicycle without first contacting D & S Cycles where the proposed work could affect the fault or warranty claim.

Where a bicycle is returned for a warranty assessment, D & S Cycles may inspect the bicycle to establish the cause of the fault.

Warranty assessment

A warranty claim does not automatically mean that a repair or replacement is required. The bicycle will be inspected to determine whether the reported problem is covered by the warranty.

Where a fault is found to be covered, D & S Cycles will put the problem right in accordance with the warranty.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer and does not affect or restrict those rights.

Nothing in these warranty terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under UK consumer law.

🚲 Carrera Parva Ltd Edition – Extensively Reconditioned – £300

Here for sale is a Carrera Parva Ltd Edition that has been extensively reconditioned and carefully rebuilt by D & S Cycles.

This has been a substantial project, with a considerable amount of time, labour and money invested to bring the bike back to a high standard. This was far more than a basic service — mechanical faults discovered during the rebuild were properly addressed, with components repaired or replaced where required.

🔧 Extensive Reconditioning Work Carried Out

The rear wheel required significant work after a snapped axle was discovered. The wheel was rebuilt and repaired as part of the reconditioning process.

During the mechanical work, the freewheel was stripped and inspected, where missing ball bearings were discovered and rectified.

Work carried out includes:

✔️ Rear wheel rebuilt following a snapped axle
✔️ Freewheel stripped, inspected and serviced
✔️ Missing freewheel ball bearings replaced
✔️ Shimano bottom bracket fitted
✔️ Rear derailleur replaced

Approximately £192 was invested in parts alone, excluding the many hours of labour involved in reconditioning and rebuilding the bike.

This is not a bike that has simply been cleaned and put up for sale. Faults discovered during the rebuild were properly investigated and dealt with, and worn or faulty components were replaced where necessary.

The result is a great-looking Carrera Parva that has received a huge amount of attention and is now ready for its next owner.
